[Fic Intro] Fork In The Road

In just a few minutes, you'll see the first chapter of a fic I started back in 2018(!!). Honestly it might have started before Little Sh*t did, it was very close to the same time. There will be four chapters of this one posted over the next four days! In total I expect it to end up a lot longer, probably 20+ chapters.

This fic, titled (obviously) Fork In The Road, is a canon-divergent fic where Deku doesn't get One For All and therefore doesn't get into UA. It's an exploration of how the friendship/relationship between Kacchan and Deku might have developed if Deku hadn't managed to get himself a quirk, and how he might have spent his high school years etc. I have plans for exactly how it will end (and some of the end written lol) but not all of the in-between yet, hence why it's been in the works for so long and not shown.

Since it started back in 2018, a lot of things probably won't fit perfectly with more recent canon, but that's the beauty of fic I guess - it doesn't have to.

It also features a little bit of mental health focus and eventual/occasional mentions of self-harm and the like, so be careful if you don't think that's something you want to read! I'll have it tagged in the post tags when those chapters happen, but I know the patreon tagging system doesn't filter as well as the Ao3 one etc.

Fun Fact: I talked about this fic in some of my earliest Patreon blogs, back when I used to try to write an update blog every week - quickly realised I had nothing to talk about that often!
