2024-06-21 21:17:00 +0000 UTCIn Sekyung's defence Sekyung: -Minor -Has timid personally -Suddenly coming to a big city and raising her sister when she herself should be in school -Don't know where her dad is or if she will ever get to meet him again -From a poor family -Counting her every penny Jihoon: -Doctor (very hyped up profession in S.Korea) -Graduated from Seoul University (aka Korean Harvard) -from rich family -Handsome -in his 30 -Can drive and has a big car (very adult thing from highschool-age girl's pov) -Knows lot of sophisticated and cool things that she can't afford to know -Has this calm, free aura that's not weighted down by life or financial problems unlike her -Helps her, pays for her stuff, show new cool things like it's nothing special (kind of adult figure she's craving for to lean on) -Has very good nature even rizzed you up In the West, people can date and marry across various social status more freely. But in korea, a successful doctor dating someone like Sekyung is very close to a daydream. So this teenager seeing Jihoon almost like a godly figure and can't even confess or do anything is actually pretty understandable because she herself is most powerless person in that household except Shin Ae. And it's probably her first love.
