Unfortunately, as Baek Yi-Jin said himself, only thing that last forever until the universe ends, is gravity. First love, friends, our youth, everything fade away and we have nothing else but move on. Even though, Hee-Do and Yu-Rim did not have any conflict at the end, but they stopped keep in touch with each other. We don’t know why but in my life I have also noticed that you become more distant with your old friends without any reason. It just happens naturally. Min-Chae read mom’s diaries and she will hopefully learn from Hee-Do’s mistakes and be even better. That’s also why we need to cherish those things because they helped us become who we are and our children for sure will be better than us. While a lot people say Hee-Do and Baek Yi-jin are definition of “right person, wrong time”, I say that it’s the most possible “right person, right time”. They helped each other in their lowest and believed in each other when it seemed like whole world was against them. Maybe that’s what true love is because it seems like her new husband does not participate in daughter’s life very much. I know that’s director’s decision but Min-Chae always hangs out with mom or even grandmother. Maybe we sometimes don’t marry our true love and maybe it’s not something that should happen to be happy. I don’t know but I just know that two main leads are happy because they deserve happiness and they fought for it. And honestly, it does not matter if they are together or not. This series is still my favorite from all kdramas. Creative directing decisions, editing, characters and their stories, great acting, probably the greatest OST album of last years, chemistry between main leads, emotional scenes, humor, fencing matches. Everything about the series was great. This rare moment when I will live these characters for rest of my life because I resonate with them so much. Like Min-Chae, I want to experience that. No matter what, joys or disappointments, I just want to have it. Thank you for watching this series, RBG!
