I really enjoyed this. Agree there should be a conversation about a lot of things but this black/white good/bad mentality makes me feel like it is easier to talk about the weather and continue walking on eggs.

2018-09-12 21:17:12 +0000 UTCIn regards to "Blindspotting" -- did we watch the same movie? I thought it was great, one of the year's best. I don't think it was necessarily all about race, but more about living with the consequences of your actions and to accept responsibility for them, hence the freestyle inferno at the end, instead of, you know, just shooting the officer and spinning the cycle of violence once more. I do agree with your take on BlackKklansman - not that great, felt very HBO TV movie-ish (in a bad way) as well. Enjoyed the Corey Haim and Keanu talk. Since you seem to have "been there" during that era, do you have any River Phoenix stories?
