2018-07-13 01:51:34 +0000 UTCThank you for taking the media to task again regarding the Kanye meltdown. The way he was treated for his Tweet storm showed up for me as a macrocosm of why so many people who have a unique perspective that can lift us out of this bull s**t binary thought trap that we're trained to operate in - by the media - and contribute something unique and visionary to the world keep their talent under wraps. To start calling someone bi-polar because their perspective isn't prescriptive is dangerous. To question his creativity and try to replace it with insanity especially when his messages were strongly driven by love and unity is symptomatic of a ill mass mentality. I'm relieved that there's a voice reaching the masses to keep people thinking and interrupting the pattern of the media.

2018-07-12 11:08:18 +0000 UTCNothing wrong with the first thirty minutes. More sane than the nonsense on mainstream media.

2018-07-12 07:55:33 +0000 UTCActually, some people do support open borders. I'm one of them. I suppose we are few, but we exist.

2018-07-11 04:27:48 +0000 UTCI had a friend of 18 years. We were great buds in High School and after. During the 2012 election he emailed me somewhat out of the blue, and started railing on about how evil Mitt Romney was. After I responded and said "dude, we are obviously on other sides of the political aisle, lets stop talking about this because I can tell its upsetting you." He responded by saying he could not be friends with "someone that thinks like you", and just like that... he ended our friendship. 9 months prior he was at my wedding and gave me and my wife a great gift... now, I have no idea where he is living or what he is doing. the first 10 minutes of this podcast stirred up that memory. So funny how 8 years of Obama did not show liberals that this is cyclical. "Your guy" will not be in charge forever... take it easy, the country or your rights aren't going anywhere. Well, that is of course as long as the "think like me or else" crowd doesn't get control of things.

2018-07-10 20:46:34 +0000 UTCI'm getting a little tired of this outrage at the supposed left wing hysteria. Im sorry but as a middle class midwesterner I just don't see why having a couple awkward 1,000 dollar dinners, that other people paid for, is all of a sudden a major tragedy. I mean what about Sri Lanka??? The Kanye story was really good though as another poster pointed out. Having said all that I'm cool slugging through a podcast like this if it means we get stuff like the Hereditary, Call Me By Your Name, and Phantom Thread speeches.

2018-07-10 19:49:29 +0000 UTCMr. Ellis, Another great podcast this week. I'm very glad you moved to this platform. It gives me the assurance that I'm directly supporting the content and opinions (like yours) that interest me the most. While I don't agree with some of your specific stances, I share your overall point of view as a Gen-Xer who has grown weary of the tone of contemporary discussion on politics and culture. Art was a great guest, I've read his articles when I can find them online. Looking forward to your next podcast! -Mark

2018-07-10 16:54:12 +0000 UTCMr Ellis, I personally find your takes on corporate culture, the left today, etc. definitely interesting and relevant, as it affects and is part of contemporary culture and the international art scene. Also, I'm a European living in Europe, so it's not like I hear someone's personal perspective from the US everyday (homogeneous twitter and media content from any side doesn't count). My opinion. Sorry, Todd.

2018-07-10 16:15:59 +0000 UTCHi, I am having issues listening to the podcast. It seems to play for only seven seconds and then quit. And then when I fast forward through it, it doesn't work. Any help is appreciated.
