I'm so happy to hear Brett's thoughts again, after 4 years. I am listening oldest-to-newest. Some of this comes across as prophetic. We didn't know how good we had it in 2018. I really miss Trump now.

But, when Cunanan had his potential victim duct taped and helpless on the bed as he danced to “Easy Lover” by Phil Collins, I felt a little protective of you and your earlier work. I'm a big literature fan as well, and would love to hear more riffs on that. BJ Novak talking about Philip Roth back in 2014 was pure pornography.

BEE: I'd be curious to hear your observations of the Alt-Reich and their poster-boy, Richard B Spencer. RBS always struck me in manner and style (think 80s wayfarers) as someone straight out of a BEE novel; and, coincidentally, he was friends with Stephen Miller at Duke whom BEE wanted to write a novel about and found 'completely compelling'. Another solid podcast BEE, keep up the solid work.
