Last Unicorn Part 3

I love a very serious episode with very goofy energy. To me that's kind of what the show is all about. We were definitely in a wacky mood for this one. To be honest, Last Unicorn is turning into a favorite of mine. It's a pretty straightforward adventure, but we've found some odd quirks in it, such as the weirdly selected cast (other than Jon, my players are really not min-maxers) or the oddly heartfelt tone borrowed from the actual movie. There's something wonderful in getting to create a high fantasy world, especially one as unapologetically earnest as the Last Unicorn. It is very easy to world-build in this feel of a place. There'll be a whole lot of world from this one that doesn't make it into the episode, and you know what, I don't mind it. I had a blast.

Sorry for the messed up holiday schedule. We actually recorded a delightful Muppets Christmas Carol which we planned to release on the holiday, and we couldn't make happen, so we decided to hold it till next Christmas. It will be a treat for next year, but consequently, we didn't really have anything ready to go, as I thought I had more time to get Last Unicorn pt 3 up, so we ended up with just a big gap at the end of December. Apologies. In any case, now we're back and dreaming our way through Last Unicorn, which I think will prove to be a favorite of mine.

At least one more episode of Last Unicorn to go (not being coy, we just haven't recorded it yet) but I'll tell you the next movie now, since I'm excited for it: Cabin in the Woods. It's a great movie that everyone should see if you haven't. This one is a sponsored episodes (as pretty much everything we do now-a-days is), and our sponsor had an interesting concept for it which I've agreed to do. But I'll save the concept discussion for next episode, once Cabin in the Woods is closer to release . . .
