My Cup Runneth Over Part 2 of 2 AD FREE

Big projects command an investment; of time, mental capital, physical effort and most of all, emotional currency. But with these monumental tasks comes the potential for great reward. This untitled painting by an unknown artist of Bacchus will require just a bit of everything we do in the studio, and while perhaps not the most complicated project we've encountered, it will demand, and demand, and demand once again. The question is will it be worth it?

So why is there a drum on that back table? Looks like the finish is damaged. Is instrument restoration something that you do as well?

Beautiful and inspiring, as always! Thank you for sharing your craft with us!

Have you ever used a strainer for a project? It seems like you talk down strainers often (not to the level of staples 🤢) Is there a situation that warrants a strainer over a stretcher?

5:25 is Kit looking at the camera again? ... no wait that's a painting!

A war horse is a war horse.

This brings to mind what an Professor in Art History once told me. When looking at a painting first look at what you see, then explore what your feel. This painting truly illustrates that statement.

Kenneth Crips

Astonishing restoration, but hideous carousel Beethoven.
