My to-do list

I recently needed to upgrade my software because I was using ancient, forgotten technology which wasn't able to contain the game I was building. This, unfortunately, led to some bugs and some assets I now need te recreate.

So, what's remaining until the BETA is done?

- I need to rebuild the player's punching mechanic in the engine. It was running perfectly. It now runs like a winter nose...
- I need to finish up the player wins ending, although that's about 70% done.
- I need to put in a "you're the worst player ever"-ending. Who doesn't love one of those? It's just a minor thing. More of an easter-egg than an actual ending minigame.
-Some minor bug fixes.

That's about it. After that, I'll be back to finishing up my sprite-work for the finished product.

Comments

losing two months is awful, I couldn't imagine. But thank you for kind words! My flame of passion has been rekindled thanks to you! >:D

Thanks for an update. I wouldn't worry too much about delays and such, 'cause it happens to everyone. Sure, it stinks that you have to re-tread old ground to make stuff work with the new engine, but keep pressing forward; you have a whole group of people who are ever eager for what you do next, and if that's not inspiring, I don't know what is. I've been right there with that too. Years ago, I was making a sequel to a game of my own, and being the big dummy I was, I never backed any of the data up, and lost it when the computer fried (the same computer I also had the original Dream Knockout stored on), erasing about 2 months of progress. It definitely killed my spirit, but I felt more accomplished than ever when I finally re-did my progress. In hindsight, I'm somewhat grateful for it, because I think the changes I made along the way the second time through made the game a better finished product. Sorry to ramble, but I just want you to feel encouraged, and know that there really are people out there that appreciate your work :)
