What has been, what will be, what will has been, and what might will have been as well. ALL POSSIBILITIES are hearable to me, GLEEP GLORP THE HEARER. And now for the first time, I will share with you these sounds of strange yesterdays, potential presents, and....OTHER TOMORROWS.
[MAJOR SPOILERS FOR BOOK ONE AHEAD, PROCEED AT OWN RISK]
BEHOLD and BE NOT AFRAID, for these other tomorrows include:
What if Ame DIED in the final battle?
What if Suvi didn't make it to the cottage in time?
What if Ame chose peace for Naram?
What if Eursulon took up the sword of Night?
What if Suvi didn't escape the Palace of Wind and Stars before the end of the conclave?
What if Ame didn't get caught by Keen in Reedport?
What if Ame and Indri voted for war against the Citadel?
What if Eursulon freed Opalthinned from the Kassov collection?
What if the Antivolists won the wizard civil war?
And most of all:
What if Eursulon refused the call and remained a moderately successful regional theater actor?

2025-10-22 16:07:54 +0000 UTCOther tomorrows: in giving The King Of Night back his sword, Eursulon offers puts the hilt to his hand and grabs it shut to hold it, then rips the scabbard off, so he draws the blade. A trick, but freedom has need of tricks with how some would bend the arc of the worlds. For one who later called killing children taking them home, let him have his unwished fate, though Eursulon would not yet know this great dishonesty of his brother yet. Even before I reached that betrayal of The Stranger in the story, though, I had this thought as I listened to their meeting at the well. For all his formalities, formulaic decorum, this great spirit gave me little to inspire true trust.

In my current home game my character is having a menty b cuz his warlock pact isn’t going the way he wanted and he got aged 40 years by a ghost, and it has tooootally flipped the way I’m playing him. It is so goddamn fun to lose the propriety of it all and just say what I wanna say

But I gotta say, Aabria mentioning Professor Screweyes from We’re Back! was a crazy moment for me because it was my favourite movie as a kid and I was obsessed with it but whenever I mention it to people now no one knows about it! The scene where Professor Screweyes dies (or whatever that was with the crows at the end) is an image that haunted and inspired me as a kid because it was so chilling yet oddly beautiful
