As much as I understand this is omegaverse with different rules and they can't control, it's still hard to watch the NC scenes and that's coming from someone who usually likes toxic stuff and dirty talk like this.

And with wenleng and gao it was a mix off drunkenness and his rut being triggered by gao. If you notice there were signs like when he said he was feeling hot and he smelt the sage he is 90% Compatible with gao , but because he has been taking suppressants it made it harder for him to recognize his soulmate. But once the rut is Triggered that mind is almost in a frenzied state and they don’t remember anything or anyone after the rut/heat , unless he and his Omega mark each other
