I would love for you to watch their vlogs. They do have English subs. Particularly in their last vlog you can see Dai's unreasonable side.

He said he wasn't sure why Dai liked him at first and thought it was for shallow reasons and that is a completely legit worry. He knows he isn't easy to get along with and Dai was coming on strong so him pushing him away to slow him down (cuz he couldn't express that verbally) and also see Dai's true intentions wasn't hella toxic to me. He clearly has some trauma he needs to deal with and that isn't healthy, but watching their videos now from their blogs, they look SO cute and in love and clingy with each other.

We don't know what kind of trauma Shun has experienced in the past. he tested Dai's love many times in the program. Because he had insecurities from the past. This was frustrating for Dai. One day they were on good terms, the next day Shun would suddenly sulk, always making a big deal out of small things.. But Dai actually seems to have accepted him as he is. He doesn't try to fix it or change it, he doesn't judge it, he just tries to understand it. As far as I can see from their vlogs and interviews, Shun watched himself in the program and saw his mistakes and shortcomings and is trying to correct them. They not only share their happy moments in their vlogs, but also share when they fight. In those moments, I feel like Shun has improved in solving problems compared to before. I think the reason we love this couple so much is not because they show us the "best love", but because Dai is patient with Shun and accepts him for who he is. Most of us are all looking for someone like this. It's hard not to appreciate this when we see it haha :) English is not my native language, sorry if I made any mistakes
