It doesnt really fit the situation since Beer isn't trying to force or change a behavioral pattern in Wan. I think Wan was trying to imply that Beer is always mean to him then sweet to him but the phrase doesnt mean that. I dont know if the translator(s) was trying to explain a thai phrase with something they thought was equivalent in english but it doesnt actually fit, or maybe the writers didnt quite understand the phrase
