This a genre in Chinese novels called transmigration from what I understand. They don’t usually go into all that complicated details to try to explain how Joe transmigrated into Joe’s body. Read this novel years ago more than ones, frustratingly good. I’m going to read it again.

So much to process after that episode! The fact that Ming actually fell in love with Joe’s back and not Tong at all! The way that even Tong thinks that Joe is like him, when he accused that boy of trying to manipulate his way into the rich family! That’s just you bitch! That ending and the instant realisation on Joe’s face!! All of it is chefs kiss 👌 It’s actually gonna be so interesting once we get back to the present time to watch Joe finally being seen for who he really is, when all the while he’s in someone else’s body. I am sat and seated for it all!

Poom, with his sweet, beautiful smile has me in a chokehold. And he is absolutely capturing his character. Poor Joe is right. I also sometimes hate being right about plotlines. So, let me dig in: 1) After Tong called Ming away from Joe in the bathroom, and when Ming returned to Joe's house, did y'all notice Ming's shirt. If I remember correctly, in the bathroom, Ming's short was completely untucked. But when he got back to Joe's it was half tucked / half untucked? Or maybe I'm remembering wrong. I just remember thinking, "Why's his shirt all weird?" Which then got me thinking that when Tong called him out, they went somewhere and Tong "manhandled" Ming. Just a guess, but Ming was a little too destroyed after that emcounter. 2) If Tong is gonna burn bridges by being an egotistical a-hole to the director on set, eventually, that's gonna catch up to him. Employers will only shell out money to people who do their damn jobs. 3) Someone here said that Mek look a lot like Khaotung... I 💯 agree with that because I've actually confused those two a couple of times until I could see some distinguishing features. 4) The sister is a delusional idiot. How you gonna sit there and say, "I know when my brother is seeing someone," but can't tell that the same brother is in love with your boyfriend. The nerve of her. She's just hoping that her bro finds someone so she doesn't have to worry that she'll lose her hot boyfriend. What kinda sick psychopath is that. 5) Sol is right in a way, that Ming and Joe are from different worlds, but those worlds are not defined by money, celebrity, or status, but instead by decency, care, and truth. In that respect, Ming will never be worthy of Joe. Without having read the novel and only having watched the show, were I to make predictions as to what happens next, I'm gonna guess a smidge outlandishly. I'm gonna guess that since they never found Joe's body and we are dealing with a metaphysical story where souls can just up and leave their bodies and jump into someone else's body... Either Sol or Ming has Joe's body in some secret hospital somewhere so that Joe's body has time to heal, not realizing that Joe's soul has left. Sol, so that he has time to spend with Joe in the hopes that if he cares for him, when Joe comes back, he'll magically fall in love with Sol. Ming, for one or both of these reasons: 1) because he doesn't want Tong to find Joe and kill him because he realized too late that he genuinely love Joe, or 2) because he's covering up his involvement in Joe's potential death either because Tong asked him to help get rid of Joe, or because Tong hired someone to do it (or did it himself) and because it'll hurt the family and his sis if she's engaged to a murderer, he's covering it up. I'm also gonna guess that in the metaphysical realm, Joe's soul spoke to some entity and made some kind of deal where he gets to try and solve his murder, but in exchange he has to live as the other Joe. After which, he can decide to either go back to his own body, or he can continue on as the other Joe. This would mean, he'd have a maternal figure in his life, and he'd be free of Ming, Tong, and Sol, and free of all of their wretchedness. I include Sol, because he keeps trying to get back with Joe, despite what Joe wants, which is borderline bad behavior.

I swear I feel like Joe mom spirit gave him a other chance to do he’s life and stay away from Ming. Ming is something else but am glad that Joe got to hear this bullshit right out of Ming mouth but will it keep Joe away from Ming probably not, Ming will convinced him again 🙄
