I'm responding way late but I agree! I feel like people are discounting that Pat wanted to talk to the boss another time, asking if there was a way to table their discussion, because he knew he was feeling raw after the sexual harassment incident. It's no wonder it didn't go well when that was ignored and he once again got criticized.

Not that Pat was micromanaged by Jeng but he was definitely a hard to please boss and that’s coz of his own insecurities as the department was failing. At least that’s what I got from this episode. Also if you are gonna let your new employee do such a big project, you gotta have some trust which Jeng as a boss definitely lacks. That’s why New Employee boss mr. jongchan is the blueprint of how a boss should be for me.. lol. The first crying in bathroom scene kind of makes a point that Pat has issues with controlling emotions. And it is carried forward throughout the episode. Also the scene where he cried in office is not coz of the managers comments alone but coz of how he was harasssed by one of the other employee just minutes ago.. he was already shaken and in such situation it can totally happen that you lose your emotions. So far I like the dynamic between the manager and the employee here. It’s very believable. Nobody likes their manager. Good managers are a myth, I am sorry! Jongchan is a legend. 😂😂😂

2023-04-29 00:33:29 +0000 UTCI agree with what was said but I also think near the end of the episode while he was crying in the office I generally think that was all the emotions that come out of that day or the week .. of the people he works with continuing talking about him also getting knocked back every single time, him getting touched and made to feel uncomfortable. Let’s just see what Ep 3 brings. Great reaction as always 🥰👏🏼

So my thoughts on Jeng & Pat, Jeng said he’d handle the project but they really didn’t show him working on it at all by himself or with Pat. All the feedback and critiques from Jeng weren’t wrong but how he handled it was harsh, Pat has literally only worked for the company for a month. But I feel like there was too much expectations on Pat a new to the workforce employee that has had basically zero training from his manager Ying.
