Easy Kill

As I observe one of the Star Destroyer explode, I can't help but celebrate along side my other pilot who cheers as well seeing it.

The fight was a bit similar to Alicorn, I just had to destroy it's shield and weaponry and it become a all out buffet from me to eat.

Once, the star destroyer lost most of it's weaponry from the constanst bombardment from 5 of us, the Star destroyer stood no chance and fire and several broken hull begin to show all over the star destroyer.

And even better the sound and scream of people inside was satisfiying as well with each hit.

After we hit the star destroyer with everything we got, we sent out trump card that we have been hiding.

A weapon so powerfull every single nation banned the usage of it. And the reason it also give Earth a decade long peace without a single major war.

A nuclear weapon, or more specifically, medium-range ballistic missile.

Once it exploded within moments, it began to fracture and split in half, the explosion consuming it from within. It blinds me for a moment, alongside a shockwave that shakes my aircraft and throws my fighter out of control.

But I quickly regain control by grabbing the joystick and stabilizing the fighter, after doing a quick check up on my aircraft, I begin my other teamate who were hit by the blast.

<<Status report!>>

<<N-no damage here>><<My shield are a bit unstable but we should be good in action>> <<I am fine.>>

As relief wash over me I had a momentary flashback before the operation begins.

/

Before the Battle Of Attolon began, there was still some problem we face before we begin the battle.

As everyone continued flipping the paper and reading the report I make in silent, Aline close the report she let out a huge sigh before looking at me in nervousness.

"I don't think without current firepower we can even destroy a single destroyer."

"While I hate to say this but I have to agree with Alina on this one." Cipher continue flipping the paper "Even if we tried to use your way of either eliminating the weaponry or hammering with a missile, I think we can only destroy a single star destroyer but 6? Yeah....."

Well it's already prertty obvios that Alina and Cipher noticed just from reading a single report.

"Indeed, even if we fire all our missiles, the possibility of us destroying the Star Destroyer is pretty slim, not to mention that the number of guns the Star Destroyer possesses is extremely huge. If we have done it through normal ways."

"Normal ways?"

"Which brings me to the final plan that could destroy these star destroyers."

With a decisive gesture, I sketch a circle below the Star Destroyer's deck, directing everyone's attention to it.

"The Star Destroyer indeed have thick armour and plate, normal machine gun and missle won't do crap against it... but there is a opening. These hangars belows the deck are used to deploy not only Star Fighter and bombers but troops as well."

"And..?"

"But! I notice this hangar is always left open so fighters can dock inside in case of an emergency. But it leave the Star Destroyer vulnerable to attack which we are going to take advantage of it!"

"I see.. you are not reccomend us for all of us to suddently charge in there and use up all the missle?" Alina said

"Of course not! Anyways once we have at least destroyed 50% all of the enemy turrets below the Star destroyer, If we use a Medium-range ballistic missile that can be carried by our fighter and launch it to the hanger it won't stand a chance."

"Medium-range ballistic missile...? Don't tell me..." Before Cipher's eyes went wide "You are planning to use nuclear weapons?"

"Yep."

This idea came to my mind when it was my first time looking at the shop

When I notice the Boeing B-29 Superfortress plane with the added extra armanet of a nuclear bomb which I immidietly swipe it away before even get any idea to bough since it was preety dangerous after all.

Since there is no way I am going to use a nuclear bomb on my world.

Unless... I use it on other world where there is little impact with no consequance or maybe in outerspace where the damage are only at my enemy.

That's why this plan came to my mind, It's also one of the reason why I purchase the UNSC sabre. Since not only does it posses shield and heavy weaponry, but with a extra option of adding a fucking Medium-range ballistic missile which was kind insane.

Alina already started bursting into a laugh and slowly walked to me and pat me on the back. "I like your idea, captain! This is the first time I heard such crazy plan! Your idea is the best thing I ever heard!"

Cipher carefully stands up and look at me, there was a hint of excitement in the Cipher eyes as well "And who have the honor of carrying the nuclear Missle Captain?

"Mobius 1 will be the one carrying it" I said, locking eyes with him " "But be warned—this missile has to be fired at dangerously close range. If it's launched from too far, the enemy AA guns surrounding the ships will tear it apart before it even reaches the target."

"Understood!" "Hehe I am soo excited!"

I nod at them, taking a deep breath, I stood up. "Alright then," I began, my tone growing more serious, "since we still lack the funds to carry out this operation, we need to regroup. All three of us will head back to the Muv-Luv world and earn the necessary money. Once we've secured the funding, we'll begin our training—and after that, we launch the mission."

"Understood, Captain!" they responded in unison

/

After our plan was laid out I went back to Muv Luv to gather some more money since the fighter I wanted to buy was extremely expensive. The moment I went back to muv luv I did not even bother to give Dr Kouzaki a greeting and just went straight to the Hive to fight alongside my other pilot.

The formation was simple for this battle.

I am leading the charge with our rear guard being Trigger and Cipher and on the back is Mobius 1 carrying the Nuclear Missle.

There was a bit of penalty using a nuclear missle, in exchange of mobius 1 Carrying the Nuclear bomb he become extremly slow.

Even though the three of us were already slowed down by the sheer weight of the weaponry on our aircraft, Mobius 1 was even slower than me, burdened by carrying all of the additional armaments—including the nuclear missile. Despite the strain, I was confident we could pull this mission off.

After all 3 pilot and 4 aircraft I purchase was beyond powerfull.

But still Mobius 1 was our trump card, the key to turning the tide of this battle. That's why our mission was clear from the start, protect Mobius 1 with our lives.

<<This is Butcher to Mobius 1, how many Nuclear missiles do you have left?>>

<<I still have 7 left, Captain, but they are still being recharged.>>

<<How long?>>

<<Should be around 5 minutes captain.>>

Five minutes… It might as well be an eternity in the middle of this battlefield. In Ace Combat, that's one of the longest recharge times for any special weapon carried by an aircraft. It makes sense, of course. A nuclear missile packs ridiculous firepower—it's only logical it takes so long to prepare another shot.

But still… five minutes

No matter. It was enough time to shift our strategy. We'd target the next Star Destroyer, eliminate its turbo lasers, and create an opening for Mobius 1's next strike.

<<Copy that, Mobius 1. Focus on staying in formation and keeping your distance from their firing range. Butcher, out.>>

Switching to the squad channel, I barked into the comms, <<Alright, team, you heard him! Five minutes! In those five minutes, I don't want to hear excuses—I want to see turbo lasers silent, decks burning, and those Interdictor-class Star Destroyers turned into nothing more than flying scrap metal! Let's move!>>

<<Roger that!>> came the synchronized responses

As burning Star Destroyer light up the space, I led the charge and begin heading for the next ship to destroy which is the Interdictor-class Star Destroyer.

As we begin heading there, Mobius 1 slowly slow down and choose to stayed behind us, maintaining distance but on full alert. The countdown had begun.

Five minutes.

As we reach closer, the enemy comms light up again.

<<This is the Interdictor-class ship! Requesting immediate air support! We have enemy aircraft closing into attack range—we're vulnerable! Repeat, we are vulnerable!>>

<<This is Admiral Thrawn. Air support is en route. ETA five minutes. Hold your position and prepare for reinforcements.>>

The name alone made my blood run cold.

So that's Admiral Thrawn, the smartest people in the empire.

Moments later, my squad's radar lit up like a festival display. Mobius 1 voice came through, tinged with urgency

<<Captain I am seeing huge amount of fighter heading to your position! Looks like they are recalling all of their tie fighter that fight the rebels fleet to stop us!>>

<<Then we better make it quick>>

As we approached the Interdictor-class Star Destroyer, its turbo lasers roared to life, sending a hail of red bolts our way.

<<Split up!>> I ordered, yanking my stick hard to the right.

The three of us broke formation, scattering in different directions to avoid the concentrated fire.

The enemy's turbo lasers adjusted rapidly, trying to track our movements, but splitting up meant they couldn't focus on any one of us for long.

I raced toward the top of the Star Destroyer's deck, the massive hull stretching beneath me like an endless expanse of gray metal. My targeting system locked onto the first turbo laser battery swiveling to aim at me.

"Locked on." I whispered to myself, pulling the trigger.

The 30mm cannon mounted on my aircraft roared to life, spitting a relentless stream of fire at the massive gun emplacement. And moments later, the battery exploded in a spectacular fireball.

One down

I banked left, bringing my sights onto the next turbo laser turret that was adjusting its aim toward Trigger approach. I lined up my sights and squeezed the trigger, my cannon blazing once more. The bullets streaked toward the turret, punching into its base. It wavered for a moment, its aim faltering, before erupting in a blinding explosion.

<<Thanks for the assist!>> Trigger replied, her fighter weaving through the debris to strike another part of the Star Destroyer.

As she closed the gap, her targeting system lit up, locking onto multiple emplacements. With a practiced hand, she fired six precise salvos, the missiles streaking through the blackness in an elegant arc.

Each salvo found its mark, striking the turbo laser batteries with surgical accuracy. Explosions rippled across the Star Destroyer's surface, tearing through its defenses. The once-imposing weapon emplacements were reduced to little more than burning husks.

As the last of the top-mounted turbo lasers were neutralized, the faint blue glow surrounding the Interdictor-class Star Destroyer flickered erratically. Before the shimmering field slowly began to fade away.

<<Captain! I've taken out the two shield generators!>> Chiper's triumphant voice echoed over the comms.

I grinned. <<Good job, Chiper! All fighters, lock onto the enemy's gravity generators! Stand by for my mark!>>

The targeting reticles blinked to life on my HUD, aligning on the now-exposed gravity generators.

<<Mark!>>

<<Mark!>>

In perfect unison, nine missiles detached from our fighters, their engines igniting in streaks of fire as they barreled toward the Interdictor-class Star Destroyer. The ominous silence over the enemy comms broke into frantic chatter.

<<H-Hello? W-where are the reinforcements?! We're detecting multiple missiles inbound! W-where is the air supp—GAHHHH!>>

The transmission cuts off as the missiles slam into the Interdictor's outer hull, triggering a cascade of explosions across the ship. The final blast is the largest, and with a sudden, violent eruption, the Interdictor-class vessel is consumed in flames before disintegrating into the void.

All four of us regroup, silently watching the smoldering wreckage of the enemy ship drift apart.

<<You were right about the report... their hull are pretty weak.>>

<<Well... their gravity generator are indeed powerfull in order to prevent enemy ships from escaping from Hyprspace jump, it's also a double edge sword with how little their firepower are>>

<<I see...>>

<<G-guys, I know you guys are are watching but, but you still got company! A lot of them!>> Mobius 1 said

As I took a quick glance at the map, to my horror, it was a pure red dot of enemy fighters closing in from all sides. And when I looked out the window, I saw in the distance numerous small dots begin to emerge

My instincts kicked in, and with a grin across my face, I pulled the aircraft closer to the swarm of Tie fighters as they began firing their laser at me.

<<Engange!>>
