"That was cool!"
"Yeah, you just pew! Pew! And then all of them are dead!"
"Hahaha.." I laugh wryly at the bunch of adventure gathering around me in excitement
After fighting hell on earth with an endless amount of monsters, I manage to find people who seem I can talk with.
I found them when I managed to hear a scream in the distance so I made a dash there, once I arrived at the source of the scream I managed to find a group of people trapped in an encirclement by a horde of monsters.
Of course, I make quick work of said monster by pulling out my favorite machine gun and mowing down the monster with no problem alongside the help of Paddy with its powerful Pod Progam.
It still feels cheering using Paddy's power considering he easily mow down all of the monsters with precise accuracy. Almost like a fricking aimbot, which is cheating consider I still have to aim first before shooting.
The moment we finish making quick work of the monster around us I receive their thanks and gratitude from them. Since it feels weird being thanks just from fighting such weak monster I take advantage and ask them to help me guide me to the surface which they were more than happy for.
I was grateful since not having a guide in this massive cave is fucking pain. And I am already sick of seeing this cramped cave.
"So... are you guys a player?"
"Huh? What the heck is a player?" One seems like a brute who has an axe and shield spoke.
"...So you are not a player?" I stare in disbelief at hearing this
"Maybe he means you are a playboy, you always think with your below instead of your brain dwarf" Elf smirked at the brute who glared back at the elf.
Before checking their real identity using the Hud, my Hud was telling me that these people were not players at all but NPCs. Something that I just notice a moment ago.
Not only these people were able to talke with me like I was talking with a real person, but they were also able to have a voice and express emotion. Something I consider imposible...
My mind went rampant with many theories that could make sense of this.
Did I accidentally step into one of those secret projects where someone finally managed to replica human behaviors in a virtual world?
That means I have to get out of here as fast as possible.
Me being here already screams trouble and if the admin of this server notices me... God pray me I have a painless death. Maybe even the CIA will track my Ip and hunt me down.
The elf girl's gaze traveled up and down my form as if she were conducting a thorough examination. "Mister, you certainly have an unusual set of armor," she remarked.
Before I could react, the four adventurers gathered around me, inspecting me from every angle.
"Coated in black color.."
"Covering all parts of the body.."
"And with a weird floating box that can talk..." One of the adventurers poked the floating box, which remained silent for some reason.
"You are a very strange guy," another concluded. "I never see these type of clothing or armour."
Right... Maybe they are right since I wore full body armour and gask mask. Since I do not not knows what kind of enemy I have to face I prepare my self with everything that I think I need to face in the dungeon.
The armour for extra protection since I can still felt pain which I try my best to avoid, and the gask mask to protect me from contaminated or poison gas.
It's preety common uniform that citizen and soldier would wear, but I guess these NPC see it as strange which Is kind obvious since they were wearing armour that is from medival age like lether armour and iron armour.
But since they were a bit curious, I began explaining a little. "This armor is to protect me from projectile attacks since I don't really have to worry about physical attacks, and the mask is to protect me from poison. So I am sorry if it seems strange to you."
Everyone hummed or nodded at my explanation. The elf noticed the weapon I was carrying and immediately inspected it by touching it lightly. "Now that I think about it, I've never seen a weapon like this. What did you call it again? A machine gun?"
I looked at the machine gun she was examining. In my arms was the H.M.G. 46 Heavy Machine Gun.
Since It felt heavy carrying machine guns everywhere so I tried my best to use lighter weapons while trying to avoid the monster, but since I had to guard this group of adventure I decided to go all out and use the heavy gun.
It slows me down since it's heavy, but the firepower is always worth it.
"It is indeed called a machine gun," I explained, "but specifically, it's the H.M.G. 46 Heavy Machine Gun. It can shoot 800 to 1,200 rounds per minute."
"800 rounds per minute..? Is that even possible?" she asked, her eyes wide with astonishment.
"It is indeed"
Everyone looked at each other nervously.
"What's wrong?" I asked, sensing their unease.
"I thought a gun could only be used once per minute?" one of them said hesitantly.
Huh? Once per minute? Are they talking about muskets, like the ones the British used that could only fire once at a time?
"It's different it uses what's called a bullet" I show a piece of bullet from the magazine that I keep on my chest
I held up the piece of ammunition for them to see. "This is a bullet. Most firearms use these instead of small iron ball, and they can be fired in rapid succession thanks to advancements in technology."
The elf was fascinated by the bullet in my arms, and was about to grab it before I put it back "It's extremely useful since It's small and easy to carry, not to mention it has a good firepower."
"That is so cool!!" The elf's eyes sparkle "Can you make me one?"
For the next few minutes, I explained a bit more about guns and how it work, before we knew it we talked about ourselves and our hobbies. These people are good people, and it felt weird to continue talking with them... it felt like talking with a real person rather then AI.
Paddy is a exception since he have the memory of little mouse.
"Hey! Can I also become a gunner like you?" the elf asked, their enthusiasm clearly not dampened.
I gave a small, rueful smile. "I wouldn't recommend it. Guns are extremely expensive to make, and each bullet is single-use. Unless you're filthy rich, you're better off sticking with bows and arrows."
The elf paused, taking in my words, but before they could respond, a voice called out.
"Alright We have arrived people"
The announcement jolted us back to reality, and I realized we had reached our destination.
The moment we went beyond the entrance my eyes laid upon a huge open terrain, the floor was massive with a huge forest like before spread around. And also I noticed huge gems were above the cave shining their light upon the whole floor.
"Welcome to the 18th Floor."
