Armpit Hair
Added 2025-04-16 00:34:27 +0000 UTCI just feel like typing and interacting with you guys, so let's talk about something I've been thinking about lately. I originally grew my armpit hair because I liked how it looked on others in the summer at festivals - hippie like. But, I thought it made me smell more, so I shaved it back off. Then a couple years ago a photographer asked me to grow it for a shoot. It was winter, so I thought what the heck. Then I just never shaved it back off. I don't think it smells more now. In fact, I think it helps hold my deodorant. When the deodorant is on my skin it just comes right off onto my clothes. Sexually and visually, I think it adds a mental feeling of feralness to me that I enjoy. I don't even think about it anymore. I wear tank tops and don't worry about anyone looking at it anymore. BUT, I do worry that it will embarrass my extended family who don't understand doing something out of the norm, so I wear shirts with sleeves when with them. For that reason, I've considered shaving it back off. Except, every time I think of shaving it back off, I think how abnormal shaved armpits look to me on women! Like it's a big white patch of deodorant or little pills/rolls of deodorant under the arm. Shaved is looking so gross to me lately. haha
So, I'm curious what y'all think about armpit hair on women, armpit hair on men, armpit hair in general. I'm going to keep an open mind. I know.... it's my hair and it's up to me... but for conversation sakes.... what kind of thoughts do you have on armpit hair??? :)

I have no preference. It is up to the model. Hair is easier to draw since it hides contours.

I completely believe in choice, so each person should choose what or if to shave. I just think we need to normalize hair on women so if some women, such as yourself, choose to not shave your armpits it doesn’t stand out as shocking or odd. My final opinion is I like your armpit hair. I agree it adds to your sexiness, I like the description of feral. Keep being you no matter what you choose to shave or not.

2025-04-16 01:00:35 +0000 UTCAesthetically, I like the bare look better. But intellectually, i know that we all have hair there to one degree or another. As someone enjoys shaving my head because I like how it feels and looks when I’m bald, but who then keeps a beard, because I like how that looks and feels — I’m for whatever each person prefers in how they feel or look. As a photographer, I never ask for any particular grooming from any model I look to hire. That’s true of armpit hair, pubes, or the hair on their head and whatever makeup a model prefers to wear or not. I just feel that if I am hiring a model, I am hiring them as they are and however they prefer to present themselves. All of it is totally fine, because none of my concepts depend on grooming habits.
