Development Update!
Added 2021-02-27 23:03:38 +0000 UTCHey y'all!
So in the month off I've taken from writing update content, I've been working with someone to improve the quality of KT's backend code, as well as set up framework for future features! Like, my code is practically sticks and stones tied together with duct tape, it's a miracle it even *works*, so bringing in someone who can actually fix that is uh, kinda necessary at this point lmao.
As for who's helping me out, it's none other than Wattson, the guy who was actually behind the fancy kinetic text effects framework that Binini loves to use so much. Working with him over the past month has been an absolute pleasure so far and I'm immensely grateful for his python expertise, which has opened the door for some very exciting upcoming features!
The first of which is the long-requested Gallery!

How it's gonna be handled is in two parts: one part will have the traditional "look back at all the CGs you've seen" portion, and the other part will be a sort of "dressing room," where you'll be able to see any unlocked character doing any of their expressions in any unlocked outfits!
The second is a revamp of the Supplies screen!

While the current supplies screen is okay for what it does, it's not very optimized and leaves little room for organization. Once the revamp is implemented, there'll be a general supplies tab, but *also* a survival items tab and a key items tab! The survival items tab will house Killigan's canteen, a spot for a bedroll, and also a food pouch, which can contain not just rations but a multitude of foods that Killigan can eat to boost his stats...or share with a companion! Meanwhile, the key items tab will house important items and serve as momentos for Killigan's journey so far!
Lastly, this is gonna be a little ways away, but there'll eventually be an Enchanting system!

Killigan will be able to apply certain schools of magic to his equipment, with the help of enchanter NPCs and a fair bit of coin, to be more prepared for and effectively counter enemies he can come across in his travels. Look forward to more information soon!
All this will take a while to fully implement, and *might* come at the cost of current save files. In the event that save files can't be...uhh, saved, advance warning will be given and we might have to resort to default "starting" points (only accessible after reaching certain points in the story from regular save files, of course). Stay tuned on the status of all this!
Anyway, that's about it for this development update! March will have a regular content update, it may include some of this stuff if it's ready by then, but will otherwise followup on the dramatic ending to the last build!
Thanks for supporting and see y'all soon!

Is this some kind of a new creator fetish? All my creators here do a code-rework this days... I think most of the ppl here just want new content but fine, if it is so important. ¯\(°_o)/¯

2021-03-05 02:13:56 +0000 UTCA promising update, Eddio. The time spent cleaning up and refining your code will make it easier to work with it going forward. Plus, the additions you're making should make the game feel deeper. Keep up the good work.
