Thanks for the bug reports on CATC v7.9, the bugfixing build will be ready VerySoonTM!
There is one change I want to talk about and that is the Auto Grab Replacement mechanic change.
The intention behind this mechanic is make grab selection work against opponents of a different body type than what the grab was originally intended to target. For example, lets say you have a character that have 4 different grabs that only work against female opponents, but you are fighting versus a male opponent. What this Auto Grab Replacement mechanic does is that it replaces the 4 versus-female grabs you selected for the character, to 4 "similar" versus-male grabs without you having to select a separate list of grabs for versus males.
For this purpose, I felt this mechanic works well.
However, what I overlooked is undesirable behavior when combining this mechanic with grab lust level restrictions. Grab lust level restriction is a separate mechanic where you can only use Finishers and Pleasure grab types when opponent lust level is above a certain percentage.
Here is the problem: lets say a particular enemy have 1 Tease Grab, 1 Pleasure Grab, and 2 Finisher Grabs in its grab list. And when you get grabbed by this opponent at 0 lust level, the opponent grab choice are the 1 Tease in its grab list, followed by 3 "random" other Tease Grabs via the grab replacement mechanic. Another enemy may have a different grab list, however, once the grab replacement mechanic takes account, it may have mostly "random" grabs as well. Giving an impression that most enemies have the same grab choices, which is not my intention.
This behavior may also be why I kept getting "grab customization" doesn't work comments.
I am making 2 changes.
On the enemy side, they will prioritize grabs in their grab list first. So going back to the first example with "a particular enemy have 1 Tease Grab, 1 Pleasure Grab, and 2 Finisher Grabs in its grab list." Now if you get grabbed by this enemy at 0 lust level, it will pick the Tease Grab in its grab list rather than choosing between the Tease Grab and 3 other "random" grabs.
On the player side, your grabs now ignore the Grab Lust level restrictions on (most) enemies. This should work well enough for CATC and Brawler mode, however, for the Versus Mode, the player still needs to abide by the lust level restriction. In the future, in CATC, the Personality of the character will determine what the grab lust level restrictions are.
