The thing that gets me about the whole AI art deal is that it's kind of a tech layer around what is actually an old and banal phenomenon - a person commissioning art from a third party and then trying to position themselves as the artist, because it's cooler to be an artist than a person who commissions art. These people have always been around. People don't want to know a person who trivially prompts an algorithm for art, no matter how much they lie about how much hard work and refined taste they put into crafting those prompts, and these people are so bitter that everyone sees through them.
