Then I got nervous and said the name of your podcast which, in retrospect, probably made even less sense because it was a business meeting. Personal experience I have an uncle who works in the medical field and thinks covid wasn't real/was a planned government thing/the vaccine is worse. He's not been very politically active in the past but once you get on the Trump train you don't get off. :/ USAID is very interesting to watch implode if you're on the left not a liberal. For one conservatives out here can't be made to understand it to begin with, it's somehow half the federal budget that's their money going to the "wrong people". So while they're happy about the liberal tears over the dead malaria babies, I'm over here like why are we axing the thing that keeps all the world's small governments at our beck and call? It's not like we were doing anything about malaria because the US empire cares... Surprised the pod didn't mention the upsides of data destruction. Yes it's bad to hide the hate crimes going up, but it's also good if the government doesn't just have a database of trans people, or anyone else who doesn't fit the dominant social image.

Yes, you could break this service and cost the company $1M, but by so doing you would make $10M. (You could also break communities outside the company, but they don't matter.) Shockingly, this motto works a lot better for a small startup where breaking things only costs money to recover, than for a government where breaking things means planes crash and people die.
