A lot of you liked Otto, which I think is hilarious and amazing, since in Germany the name "
Otto
" is pretty old fashioned and used in a kind ofβ¦derogatory way.
I heard kids in my schooltime saying "Was fΓΌr'n Otto" which translates to "What an Otto" - basically using the name as a synonym for idiot. To this day I wonder how that came to be π
But well, I will post a few pages of this now and then and head over to Instagram right now to stream the next page of Highway to Well hell being sketched out

Oh yes, It probably started because of Otto Walkers! We actually had an Otto in school for a while and he was obviously bullied with his name. What a weird thing to be mean about

I guess "Otto" might have been or still is used in a derogatory way by kids because it's a) assumed an oldfashioned name and b) with reference to the German comedian Otto Waalkes who got famous in the 1970s fooling around on-stage (and in movies) and singing nonsense songs.
