Exploding 1000 Times Until A Game Is Made

So, Rainshade. Maybe you've heard of it.

To be completely transparent: development has gotten progressively slower after I was hired to work on a certain other game, and TRAGICALLY, after Unity's funny little stunt, it came to a complete stop. It… hasn't really moved since, even after their policy was reversed. I tried again and again to get that momentum going again, but it wouldn't budge.

After a disastrous December, I finally accepted that the pressure from public awareness and the game's prolonged development had become too great. After talking with team members of both projects, various other devs, and close friends, I was left with conclusion: Rainshade is absolutely worth making. But… I need to step away from it for a bit and work on something else, so I can come back to it with a clear head and fresh eyes.

So as of today, Rainshade's development is officially on hold. ACTUALLY on hold. And in the meantime, different game. SMALL game. ACTUALLY SMALL. I have GAINED ENOUGH EXPERIENCE to learn what A SMALL GAME actually is!!!!!!!!

But. Still BIG enough that I can't make it entirely in secret in a week, like we did with Moment to Midnight.

I have been genuinely afraid to announce this, as the last time (or three) I "put something on hold," I never came back to it. But with a bit of help, development actually started in late December, stalled as we decided the core gameplay loop, and then resumed. I'm not quite ready to show footage, but I can at least confirm that it has no combat and is peppered with Story Treats™. It's also got some silly guys. I know you've seen them. They're all over this post! Look! Look at those funny guys!! Will there be MORE guys?? yes

As I have learned I work 100000x better in secrecy, I plan to share very, very little, if anything, until the base game is DONE*.  Please be patient! I'm doin' my best! AAAAAAA
