βοΈ Happy Fan Art Friday! βοΈ This movie came out in 2001, wow π³
Darling Milo James Thatch from Atlantis: The Lost Empire, voiced by the talented Michael J. Fox.
After Milo gets seasick on the first ship, his line βCarrots? Why are there always carrots? I didnβt even eat carrotsβ was ad-libbed by Michael J. Fox.
A lot of careful thought and detail went into the Atlantean speech thanks to experienced linguist Marc Okrand, who also created the Klingon language for the Star Trek franchise. Itβs an impressive detail of the movie, which is also greatly overlooked.
Because of the well-crafted dialogue, Cree Summer (Kida) had the most difficult acting performance of the cast, as she had to speak Atlantean with complete fluency. She also had to make her English sound slightly broken or "off", despite it actually being her first language in real life.
I read up on these interesting facts about the film via What Culture ( https://bit.ly/2RACMEZ )π¬πΏ
I will do another Fanart Friday next month as well π
