Added 2023-10-06 22:28:31 +0000 UTCHey, i just wanna say thanks for not giving me any rude messages about matt and rowan having chapters in the comic. i know they are second to jessie and Yahn to most people but the webtoon comments make that clear multiple times and idk if its because people here truly enjoy more aspects of the work or are just polite. I have my reasons and i thank you for supporting my comic in more ways than you think.

Personally I love their relationship as it so closely fits mine with my girlfriend, just being at peace with each other, not forcing things, and just being comfortable together.

Every aspect of a comic, book, show or movie can't be for everyone. I'm happy to wait a bit longer to find out what happens with our main couple (though it is slowly killing me due to my own impatience) even if Matt and Rowan aren't my cup of tea I'm glad to see so many other people are enjoying them.

Please write the story as you see fit. You are the only one who knows the true story and how to tell it. Honestly, that build up of impatience just means you are doing a fantastic job of creating suspense. Now they know how Jessie feels :p

So I love that you’re including those parts of the story. We get to see them all developing together. And I love that even some of the characters from the other story make appearances because again. It’s a whole freaking world I love it. It’s always fun when an author or creator decides to develop more to the “side” characters. Gives me more things to explore in the world.

Plus Matt and Rowan's relationship acts as a nice foil to Yahn and Jessie's. It's a good writing choice to include them.

That’s my favorite part of a good romance because it’s realistic with what I want in a relationship. Plus Matt and Rowan are pretty central to the story as foils to Jesse and Yahn’s relationship, they kinda provide an important “standard” to compare to.

I can't believe people would talk shit about them, don't listen to them! Ugh I hate when people criticize other people's art for arbitrary reasons like that. It's YOUR story to tell what the hell gives them the right? It's like how whiny people were when the ending of *Steven Universe* didn't go the way they wanted, like the audacity to tell a creator what they should do with their work. 🙄

They all have great aspects to them while also having flaws that make sense and arcs that help form them into the great characters they are. It definitely helps that I'm a sucker for a good romance story and all three of the main Tied couples are adorable together!

I like the change in pace and characters because it gives me time to think and process what all has happened. Especially with the conflict currently with the main boys. It’s all the same universe and I love how you portray the different relationships and hardships they have to overcome ❤️ And I agree, I think because Patreons are here genuinely interested in your work, you’ll prob get a nicer response than the more public community. But don’t let the negative comments tell you how to write YOUR story ❤️

As much as I'm more invested in Yahn and Jessie as a romance, Matt and Rowan's story is really complex and beautifully told and has value outside of its romantic theme. I love how through this AU you explore how our sense of identity is constantly challenged by other people and by the universe, and all the while the characters maintain their agency through it. You're doing great sweetie 😭

Matt and Rowan have been a really awesome addition to Tangled in Red and I love both sides. Don't listen to the haters, they're always gonna yell the loudest but they're dumb.
