Commercial Kitty

This is not the cat, but from the shoot back in June at the cat cafe with Jack where I got bit (not because the cat was mean, but I was giving him tube treat and not paying attention, and my thumb happened to be where the food was, and he didn't see it because he was feral for the food). I wanted something very editorial, and in the editing I think I finally got there. This was Juju ❤️

One of the last shoots at Jack's mom's house. We did a lot of work in the tub the last few shoots. The bathroom was the last room to have its usual furnishing.

This was 2023 Martha's Vineyard with Jack, and it's definitely giving Birth of Venus, the Botticelli painting. My mom always used to say I looked like her, lol (the model was Simonetta Vespucci, btw. I don't like erasing her own identity from the cultural narrative by referring to her as the characters men fantasized her as. She was a popular model of the time)

Bringer of the Storm

Somehow this photo from Martha's Vineyard 2023 went back to my theme from last year's Martha's Vineyard theme of the siren. I'm not sure siren is really right, though. I'm more storm goddess, which on fairness is more what I did last year as well, rather than siren. Apparently the ancient greeks had a storm goddess, Tempesta (might have been her Latin name, that's the word for 'storm' in Italian, tempesta). So that's what I am here, lol. Well, Obviously Pre-Raphaelite

From Back a little over a year ago at Harkness Park with Jack. The dress was pink, and I edited it to be purple and more opaque, added purple flowers instead of the pink, and some grass in the front instead of the tile, just the most pre-raphaelite image I could think of lol. And I edited the wig I was wearing to be wider and more red, and less red red. I also made the makeup more appropriate.

Little Black Dress

I'm gonna miss this dress that Jack has, we used it for a 90s theme shoot back in Martha's Vineyard back in 2023. I'm gonna miss Martha's Vineyard, too, lol. This shoot was actually earlier this year, in like February.

Fashion Model

The same shoot as the last few, but I thought these were very fashion model style, so I ran with that, given as I'm trying to get booked by a modelling agency here in the UK, to hopefully sponsor me for a longer term visa (and get me bigger better gigs, obviously). Did one as an interview, and it seemed to go fairly well, but just got a rejection email today. I wonder if maybe they liked me, but not enough to put in the effort to sponsor a visa for me. I really want to know if that was it or ...

I shot this one last week with Romulus, my first posted work from my work here in England! I've done 3 shoots so far, and I've applied to a few modeling agencies. We'll see in a few weeks how it goes with those (hopefully well, and I can stay at least a year possibly 2).

A Midsummer Night's Dream

When I did this shoot down in Philly back in May, this corset top combined with the green foliage (this is a changed background, but we did use a second background with green vines framing a green velvet chair (still working on that photo)) gave me Fairy Queen vibes, you know, Titania from A Midsummer Night's Dream, as she naps in her beautiful sylvan bower.

Now that I think of it, there really should be a sequel where Titania plays a big prank on Oberon.... They're in a mild custody ...

Summer Sunflower

This one was from mine and Jack's last studio shoot, at Studio 52 in Middletown (the one with no climate control... 😬 We did 4 hours in like 85° heat and high humidity, and one time back in 2018/19, we had to leave early because we were about to pass out, then in the winter there is a heater, but it's right at the super high ceiling, so it doesn't heat where the people are, and he's like "don't you dare plug in a space heater and bring up my electric bill!", like he doesn't run a service ...

Back to the Future

This is from Jack and mine's last shoot at Harkness, the park where we've shot many many times over the years. It's a gorgeous spot that I will miss, though I'm sure there will be many more delightful estates and gardens in the UK. We went surprisingly Edwardian this time, not something we typically go for.

Elegy For a Decade

This was one of the last shoots Jack and I did at his mother's house. Up until covid, his mom would go to Florida for the winter, and he'd use her empty house as a studio. Our first shoot back in February of 2015 was there, and it was a reliable, regular studio up through 2020. We did so much experimenting, came to with so many ideas, grew as artists in that space...

Pensive

Did this is Philly a few weeks ago, with Chris and I love the air of pensiveness, especially pronounced with this grandiose space. I did a few other shoots in Philly, and when I get photos back, I'll see what I got. (I am working on some from one of the shoots ATM)
