Sorry for a bit of a slower week, I'm basically working on a new animation and trying to get the sketches to some kind of presentable level so you can actually see what's going on haha. I've had it sketched Friday night, but man it looked legitimately atrocious and only barely served use for me to do the linework over it, so I decided to refine the sketches just a bit this time. I'm gonna proobably post that one tomorrow at the latest.

HAHA AND THE HAIR gawd i'm so obsessed with painting hair i cannot even tell ya, it's among my favorite parts to draw every time ❤️ this is set during such a difficult time in their relationship where they were basically barely on speaking terms, after the whole fall of the underground thing, and FJ was just completely incapable of trusting Rick for yeears after it ❤️🩹 so i'm beyoond glad the whole tension in the starescaml shows here!!

The mourning doves are so whimsical and beautiful to compliment FJ, too ughhh! I can just go on. I adore both of them so much. And the HAIR. As a side note, I so am here for their beautiful hair lolol

Absolutely looks like two grand posters to be displayed next to each other intense atmosphere, the stances, the expressions, the bird imagery, everything symbolically representing them, it is beautiful. I was just silently crying because of the title lol so beautiful. And so painful. The hurt in their eyes, tears my heartstrings. I just want the best for these two lads. 😭❤️❤️❤️

Uffff, Rick's contrasts of being cold, straight face facial expression, gray tones in the background with tones of black with his clothing & objects. Ufff, the metal, pLeAsE. Then, we have FJ with the soft warmth of brown, kind of going to a little bit of yellow / gold - soft worried or who knows, maybe, blank expression of "I do not know what else to tell you to listen to me" - super caring. His EYES SAY SO MUCH - The ✨QUALITY✨ we are getting is 👨🏻🍳🤍. THANK SOOOO MUCH. I have downloaded Rick's illustration. I am assuring you I am becoming his fan 😂

It always looks so soft and silky ugh I love drawing it ❤️ And FJ's birds are doves! Specifically here they're mourning doves, mostly because they match him esthetically, but doves of all kinds in general are kind of a symbol for him to me 💗 it's a nickname Rick gave him, the little dove, before he knew his name, and story-wise it has a lot of symbolic meanings, just like Rick's crows 🥰
