Finally drawing out that Madoka fashion series - I'm just going to go in order of whichever girl inspires me the most at the moment, so Mami's first.

I'd like to design two outfits for each of the magical girls.
The left version will be a redesign - I want to capture the essence of the original but make it feel a little more fashion forward, usually by simplifying unnecessary details and refining the silhouette.
The right version will be an all-out fashion makeover - an outfit that is inspired by the original but could stand on its own.
I was torn between the two approaches so I just decided to do both. I think having the two versions lets you compare the design to the inspo, but also I get to put my own twist on the inspo too. I'd love to go back to my Steven Universe series and do something similar eventually!
