2024-04-23 01:05:57 +0000 UTC1. Link is a 'symbol' of like 12 or so keyframes on it's own layer. Within that symbol there are 3 layers; Link's drawing, a layer on top colored with water to make parts of his body look like they are underwater, and a masked layer on top to easily keep the "underwater color" only on top of Link frames and not bleeding past his outline. 2. The water is a symbol on a layer, and within it is 3 layers (the water, the outline of the water and the whirlpool animation) 3. Then the layer of the rest of the flat background!
