2018-10-02 21:58:34 +0000 UTCI had the same problem, until someone here helpfully pointed out you can catch the armadillo enemies and throw them. So you want to wait for them to jump at you and press W to catch them. If you hold up afterwards Reki will throw the armadillo up and away and, if it hits the sunflower, will cause a lot of damage to it. Levelling up is just a case of beating enough enemies; you'll get experience for each one.

2018-10-02 20:33:43 +0000 UTCI have a question. I play monster beater Reki and I can’t even get past the part with the sunflower. I jump and kick it then enemies spawn, especially those dang armadillos. And when I deal with them, the sunflower just grows back. And I don’t even know how you level up lol
