So, while debugging I've recently found out a significant way to reduce the performance cost of the game, by reformatting the character files. That said, if you have any of the old files that are over 50mb, you should swap them out for the newer, smaller size files, if you want to drastically decrease load times and have better game performance.
All the itch.io files and patron packs have been re-uploaded with the new files. Otherwise, you can get all the new files in the game itself.

So...there's quite a bit to unpack here. First of all, I want to start by thanking you all for your patience. It does not go unappreciated.
I want to say that when I first started concocting what this next update would entail, I probably wasn't thinking of half the things I actually ended up implementing. Yet, I found myself constantly saying things like "Oh, but what about this?", "I should probably add this", "How about this?", "I wanna try this." I think it goes without saying that it got to where the development took much, much longer than I was anticipating. That said, I think I'm fairly happy with it, and I think people will like it too.
My main driving motivation behind this update started with one realization...There was probably a bit too much information spread around with details about the game, and how it works/is being updated. Honestly, that can very easily be a deterrent to those who would otherwise be interested. Aside from that, I wanted to avoid further scenarios where certain people would have an array of complaints, yet barely know details about the game, or have issues with the game, but be running the wrong version of the game without realizing it. I felt that all that the game is, and is aspiring to be, should be mainly conveyed through none other than the game itself. That quiet, flat, one screen menu wasn't going to cut it anymore.
So now whenever I update the game, the game will detect it and let you know. =)
All the available ways to get the characters that have been released so far can now very clearly be seen in menus. New patrons no longer have to DM me for passwords to the recent character packs, because that's handled in the game as well. You can download new characters straight from an in game menu. You should only need to go through folders if you're installing a new version.
No more mystery gimmick challenges! There is a game mode that very clearly shows you the characters that you need in order to do those challenges.
Some other additions:
-A moveset maker for saving and creating movesets
-Keyboard configurations
-The aforementioned "challenge mode", and a new "gauntlet mode"
-Several new moves!
There is now also an in game currency system in the form of "coins", "battle points", and "rose tickets." Use coins to unlock new moves and characters in the shop. (Know that not all the new moves need to be bought. Some are available right away). Battle points let you strengthen characters before a fight. Each point increases each stat by 1 point. However, be aware that speed and recovery are capped at a certain number for obvious reasons. BP also has no effect on a character's horny level, due to the stat being double edged. You can get coins by simply playing the game. The better you perform in a match, the more coins you will get.
I will delve into more details about rose tickets later this month. They have something to do with more new features that I'm planning on implementing, as well as how we're going to be doing character requests going forward. (That said we will be trying something new pertaining to requests, so the threads are not open this month.)
I also did some move re-balancing. Throw moves are now much harder to escape from, and they are affected by the performers stamina, contrary to power and acrobatic moves which are more affected by the victims stamina. Throw type moves decrease stamina much more than other types of moves, while executing an acrobatic move will increase your stamina. Power moves, stun a lot if they connect and cost stamina to both use and escape from. There is also a standard grab implemented alongside the usual light and heavy attacks. More tweaks will probably happen in the future, but this is where it is now.
One thing that some may look at as a caveat is that, for some of this stuff to work you do need to register an account with the game. You don't need to register to play the game of course, but some of the new features you won't be able to access unless you do. You only need your patron e-mail, as usual. You do NOT need to be a paid patron to register. You do at least have to be a free member. Some features will only be available to paid patrons however.
The requested characters from last month can be downloaded in the game. I changed the downloading mechanism quite a bit, so I don't think people should have trouble getting files, but let me know of course, if anything breaks.
Lastly I want to say that I am trying quite a few new things here, so I apologize ahead of time if some things break more than you'd like. I am enthusiastic about this however, and I hope we can turn it into something really cool. Also this month, I have to once more put Demon Tale on the back burner. Again I apologize. This time, it's mainly due to me not anticipating how much work I'd have to put into this update. Next month however, Demon Tale should be back on track and we should be in a much better place.

Sorry for the delay on things this month, but as I said, September unfortunately had me stretched a bit thinner than I'd like. One of the things I really wanted to do last month was implement COF's next big update, but I ended up reasoning that I wanted a bit more for that as well. So this month, expect an integral COF update that I'm thinking will add quite a bit to the game. Furthermore, to give me a bit of room to catch up, I'm omitting this month's Demon Tale update. Updates will resume next month. Lastly, the request threads will be open in the next few minutes.

Evening patrons! Just sent out the Demon Tale update for the month.
In this update, I've mainly implemented the boss fight for stage 2. They have a unique grab, and a counter that will make it a tad tricky to simply spam them with magic. Also, the tornado and light pulse spells have been nerfed, so you won't be able to blow things away with one attack in the same way anymore. Going into the next update, I'll be doing some refining to finalize stage 2, and I'll be looking into getting stage 3 up and running.
Edit: To get to the other stages, you head either left or right from the hub area.

As for the game itself, not a super integral update. Just fixed some animation errors, as well as some of the previous bugs/oversights that were mentioned. It will patch a little bit, but it shouldn't take too long.

Evening!
So the first and foremost thing I want to say is that in the recent Demon Tale build, there is no virus!
It's the same false positive situation that pops up occasionally when dealing with certain brands of virus protection. Those of you who have been here for a while should know this. Now that's addressed, I've got a new COF update ready:
Leg Pincer Techniques:


More moves for the selection of upper and lower ground grabs, complete with finishing animations, and horny follow ups! There is a pack available for these moves in the chat. Grab it ASAP!
More Pinfalls:
I've added more pinfalls to the game:

There are now three different pins that happen, based on the direction you're facing. There may be more coming in the future.
Gimmick Moves and Gimmick Challenges:
Lastly, I've added a small feature to enrich the gameplay just a little more. Going forward, there will now be characters with "special" moves attached to them. These moves as I've suggested are gimmicky, and really just for a bit of extra amusement. There is now an option to enable theses challenges on the right side of the screen. When this option is enabled, and you fight a character that has one of these gimmick techniques, they will use the ability during the match. If you beat them, you will unlock that ability to be selected for any character to use. These characters will always be either "limited release" characters, or "one time only" characters.
Gimmick moves are performed by pushing the grab and heavy attack button simultaneosly.
Before running the new version, move all your StreamingAssets files over. When running the new version, the game will patch for a few minutes. Be patient and wait for it to finish. Now, if there is a problem patching, the game should let you know. If there are any questions, be sure to ask in the chat!
Edit: There is a new version available. Fixes a few things like missing keyboard controls for special moves. The reset button is now the O key, and added more detail to the "How To Play" file.

Good night patrons!
In this update, there is a new stationary enemy implemented - the Roper. It can't be defeated like other enemies. Hitting it however will neutralize it for a time, and you can walk past it before it revives itself. If it catches you, it binds you and slips you a nice little tentacle that does considerable damage.
There is also more functionality added to the second stage, as well as a minor introduction to the stage bosses, when you get to the temple on the other side of the lake.

Afternoon patrons!
The character requests for the month are ready, and they come with a version of the game reformatted to be a bit more efficient!
So what I realized is that, while the amount of ram being hogged by the game in it's recent state might not be urgent for the time being, it will very quickly turn into a problem as we add more characters. Furthermore, as we add more characters, there are times when I might need to go back and make a small change here or there to a character, whether it be a stat adjustment, texture edit, or whatever.
That said, the game now has the ability to patch characters in addition to only loading them whenever a match is started. This drastically reduces start time and ram usage. The one caveat is that there is now a bit of load time before a match can begin, depending on whether you're using DLC characters or a character built into the game. I feel like its a good trade off however.
In terms of functionality, there is now the option to differentiate between the player 1 and player 2 CPU aggression levels, as well as a new aggression bar that dictates how likely the CPU is to go after you when you're laid out.
For the new version of the game:
Move ALL your DLC into the streamingassets folder, and run the game. It should patch a few characters (some texture adjustments I wanted to make) and download some other integral files necessary for the game to load characters properly. If for whatever reason you botch this and some of your DLC won't load, just re-enter your e-mail in the box and unlock it again. The character packs for the month are posted in the chat.
Edit: You should be moving the dchar files into the streamingassets folder along with the charpck files.

P.S: Just a small note for character submissions. Transparency effects on custom outfits around the chest area will cause some noticeable clipping during certain motions. I will try to keep it to a minimum, but please be aware of this going forward.

So...just noticed two extra requests that I almost missed because people will decide to completely ignore the things I type sometimes u.u'....

You do not have to include a stat breakdown, but you should at least give me a reference image to go on...
That said...the 2 people who submitted requests that are missing quite some detail, I would appreciate it if you DM me at least a reference picture you would like me to go on ASAP...
Edit: Here are a few extra guidelines...Please refrain from submitting character requests for characters I have worked with in the past. This goes for both characters appearing in COF and not. Not only is this a generally boring thing to do, but I may also be planning to add some of these characters as limited characters at a later time.
On another note, I would like to say that while I'm not averse to furry characters, if you submit a furry character, said character should look more like a human, and less like whatever animal they represent. (i.e should not have completely hoofed legs/feet, or be just a dog's head on a human's body)

Afternoon patrons!
In this month's Demon Tale update, I put some focus into getting the aesthetic and mechanics for the water stage closer to what I want them to be. There are two switches on either side of the stage that you need to press. Once you press them, the floating platforms should start moving and you'll be able to cross over to the next area, which will be developed more in the next update, along with other things.
No new public update this month, because I haven't really added anything that affects stage 1. Files have been sent out. If you missed them this month, you can catch them again next month.

New update for Custom Order Fighter is available now: https://www.patreon.com/posts/130750410
In addition to an array of new moves, there is now a move selector that will let you choose exactly what moves you want both you and your opponent to be able to use, as well as a stat display. So now, it really is much more of a "Custom Order Fighter".
Other changes include the ability to release a hold that your opponent is in by pressing the block button. Heavy attacks will also now home in on opponents.
In regards to standing submissions, the success rate is determined immediately upon attempted execution, based on the submission stat and the corresponding stats(speed for acrobatic, strength for power) of both wrestlers. So if you're trying to slap on a submission and its failing most of the time, you know why.
There is also a new DLC available, however it's not for a character but rather two extra moves in addition to everything else that's been added:

And a customized muscle spark:

And by customized, I mean with the first impossible and quite frankly unnecessary bit cut out. The muscle buster is a power move, while the spark is a move that is performed behind the opponent. Content can be found in the general chat.
Same as with character packs, to install, simply move the file into the "\COF3D_Data\StreamingAssets" folder.
I actually won't be doing monthly updates of this game. However, for the next update we'll possibly be looking at new moves, mechanics, and I'm thinking a way to save move configurations to file, and load them whenever you need to.

One more type of content that I'm planning on making available for COF, that you should be aware of.
"One time release" content will be exactly that. Content sent out to all ACTIVE patrons (that is to say, patrons that belong to one of the three tiers), one time, and never again after that.
I'm posting about this considerably early so that nobody is taken by surprise.
Again, and I don't want to keep driving this into the ground, but if you do get this content when it's released, please do not share it without my permission, especially these. To be blunt, I am trying to increase patron retention, and I would greatly prefer not to have to take the "loyalty reward" approach.

Edit: The nature of the game has changed. Turns out, I will very rarely re-release one time only characters, or in other words, characters marked as "Rare" in the shop.

I want to be clear on a few things.
All patrons will get immediate access to all character packs and other "Custom Order Fighter" DLC's as soon as they are ready. However, if you somehow miss something that was released here that is no longer available, you can still get it at itch via a link that will be shown in the original character posts listed below, for a small price.
All DLC will be available for at least 5 days!
For prospective patrons, please consider that if you have even the lowest tier membership, you will essentially get everything that I release each month for a single, cheaper price.
I've stated this before, but I'm reiterating it here. In regards to characters submitted by patrons via requests. If you are the patron who submitted that character, you are free to share that character pack anywhere you please. If you are not the person who requested that character, out of common courtesy and respect for your fellow supporter, you should not just share that file around.

Good night all.
The character requests for this month have been completed, the game has been updated, and files have been sent out. Following a "DLC" format for this one. =)
When you unzip the files, take the "charpck" files, and move them into COF3D_Data/StreamingAssets folder. After loading the game, the desired characters should become available to play as. You can download the updated game from the COF post. The link is easily found in the pinned post.
In the game itself, I've added the face sitting that you may have seen already. There is also a new side leg lock grab that progresses into a sexual hold if you crit the opponent with it, much like the dragon sleeper. I've also done a bit of CPU balancing, and have more closely tied the CPU's behavior to the aggression bar.
Patrons who have not submitted any requests this month will be able to next month, once requests open up again.

After some consideration, I've come to the conclusion that the price of this tier needs to increase by just a bit.
I've had the $1 price tag on the lowest tier for many years, despite the lowest recommended price by patreon being $3. Also, if I'm being completely honest, I feel that the amount of content I've made available throughout that time has been more than substantial for that price tag. Times have gotten a bit harder.
The price increase won't be for nothing. With the addition of the increase in price, I will also add a character request thread for tier 1 users to make requests. I will open this on Monday, and it will be open for four days going forward as with other request threads. The price change from $1 to $3 will also happen on Monday.

In this month's Demon Tale update, I've started the outline for the second stage and the initial implementation of the Kappa enemy. You can find them by leaping across the floating platforms to get to the other side. You can't get any magic from them yet, though it will likely be possible in the next update along with some other things.

So, this started with me and my colleague doing a little experimental digging on the possibilities of utilizing models made with Custom Order Maid otherwise know as COM3D2, due to it being a popular character creator among the communities he frequents. What we found was what seemed to be a relatively smooth way to utilize the models in a way to output, in short, what you'll find in this post. =)
To go a bit further, we planned to use it to mobilize our respective endeavors. For my part as I've mentioned, I'll be using this to replace the previous goal rewards that seemed to be going nowhere fast.

I am of course referring to the current "extras" attached to patron rewards, those being PvB and Bedlam.
The purpose of these things for the past few months has been mainly to increase patron retention, however anybody who has been paying attention can see that it hasn't really worked out that well.
That said, I feel it's time to try something else. This upcoming month, both Bedlam and PvB are going to get replaced by something more accessible, easier to maintain, and probably just better overall. It's not outright replacement. Better to think of it as a consolidation of sorts.
