Kiri La Kill - Chapter 9

To be perfectly clear, Kiri was tackled.

Not off his feet mind you, they had Anchored themselves onto the ground on pure instinct with the help of his Quirk, which dug into the ground and kept him still. But that didn’t change the fact that the person who had attacked him was strong enough to make him resort to that in the first place.

They were strong, not strong enough to match Kiri… but strong enough to do some serious damage if it came down to it.

Fast, was another word to call them, as the guy who’d blindsided Kiri was able to rush away from his grasp the moment he tried to reach for him… not only putting enough distance between the two of them, but also gathering enough momentum in the process to tackle Kiri again, this time from behind.

He flashed away once more before Kiri could respond, but Kiri had more than wised up to his methodology by now, and was already preparing to counter it with one of his own. Waiting for the perfect moment, before he turned around right in time to grapple---

Only to find that he’d made a mistake, as this time… instead of tackling his body, the guy whose face Kiri hadn’t even seen once, slammed into his leg with the full force of his speed. So, as he further unbalanced himself trying to grapple the air, Kiri’s Anchored feet tore through concrete, his stance utterly demolished.

It was easy to hear the alarm bells ringing, for Kiri knew that the moment he fell on the ground, it would be near impossible for him to get up in the face of the relentless assault being thrown his way, leaving him at the mercy of the Football Team, who even now were recovering from their wounds.

But his back would not find the ground.

No. Instead, Kiri simply let his instinct take over… His hands planting on the ground, with him standing on them instead of his feet, before he twisted his body and threw his well built legs in two deadly kicks outwards.

He was rewarded with an oof, and a metallic thump, as another body impacted the bus.

Kiri cartwheeled back to his feet with flourish.

He couldn’t help but sigh even as he did it, his head pounding and his heart feeling oddly heavy for a moment. But he shook it off in an instant, instead turning around to look at the enemy he had finally managed to give pause to.

Only to immediately do a double take.

“American Football?” He couldn’t help but blurt out.

And not for no reason.

Because, really. He could get over the guy being short enough to barely come up to his hips, what he could not get over was the fact that he was wearing the uniform of an American Football player, helmet and pauldrons and all!

“Football!” The short guy boomed in a voice that was way too deep for a high-schooler as he corrected Kiri. “You don’t make a distinction when there is only one game with that name, jerkass!” J-jerkass? “Did they press on your soft head when you were a baby or something?!”

“JOZU!”

“ITS JOZU”

“THE RED CARD!”

Oh joy, Kiri thought, everyone’s getting up.

Thankfully, they didn’t seem all that eager to dogpile him right now, even if that was the smartest thing to do at this moment.

Maybe he could keep it up, get an idea.

“The Red Card..?” He asked, trying to bait out a conversation.

“You’re deadmeat, Sharky!” The Captain immediately took the bait, much to Kiri's relief. “Big Bro Jozu’s unleashed now, and the Red Card is gonna beat your ass black and blue!”

“They call him that because he’s set the record for most Red Cards held by a player worldwide in his first year of playing, in all age brackets!” Perfect, they had taken the bait! “When he’s brought in… he cripples anyone who even tries to get close to the ball!!”

“I once saw him nearly decapitate a goalie!”

“That’s pussy shit!” Someone else interjected. “I saw him dismember a goalie who thought he could block his shot with a single blow!”

“A guy tried to claim foul on him once, and Jozu went and actually did what he was claiming right in front of the Ref!”

“The goalie who was tasked with stopping his penalty quit playing then and there!”

…Even in the midst of his planning, Kiri couldn’t help but ask.

“Why do you let this guy ever play again?”

“BECAUSE HIS DAD IS IN THE DIET!”

“Don’t listen to that!” The captain barked from his spot in the ground. “It’s because he’s real good!”

Of course.

What else did Kiri expect?

“DAMN RIGHT I AM!” Jozu took that time to take back control of the conversation again, making everyone but Kiri shrink back at his outburst, before continuing. “Now you fucknuggets stay the fuck down!” Fucknuggets? “You couldn’t touch this guy for the life of you anyway, I’ll handle him!” With that

Shit, Kiri had something planned, but this wasn’t enough time.

“Seems like it’s up to me to prove you wrong.” The Hard Boy spoke, shifting his position.

“What the hell are you talking about Longdick?!” …Kiri didn’t like to be reminded of the fact that he was naked right now, and that everyone was staring at his crotch.

“My name is Kirishima Eijiro.” He said. “And what I mean to say is… if you think you’re gonna do all of those things to me...” It was by instinct, that the words came to Kiri. “...You can try.”

Jozu screamed, as he made to set himself up for another running start for Kiri… but it was too late for him.

Kiri dashed forward faster than he ever could, his feet tearing through the concrete as he Relentlessly closed the distance, appearing before Jozu with his feet reared back and coated in the telltale look of his Quirk.

Before he kicked.

Jozu had but a moment to take in the leg heading his way, before it impacted in the center of his chest, and absolutely shattered all protection he was wearing.

Before sending him flying back to the bus that was right behind him. The momentum of Kiri’s kick broke the tortured metal enough that Jozu was kicked through the triple decker bus, giving everyone a good look at its perfect interior.

“Goal.” Kiri deadpanned, as everyone gaped at him.

Of course, the sound of the train pulling into the station, with the clock suddenly reading 10 minutes, put a very big damper on Kiri’s big moment… sending the boy into a panic as he left his combat stance.

The football team watched, as the panicking boy scrambled toward the station, before doubling back with a reddened face, and threatening the Captain to lend him any spare clothes they had. Hastily pulling on a tracksuit given to him as the football team (who had the fight literally kicked out of them) watched, before making for the train station yet again.

…And then once again doubling back with an even more flushed face to go for his ruined jacket. Transferring his miraculously unharmed phone, money and train ticket to his new clothes, before dashing back to a train that was already departing.

Thankfully, for someone like Kiri, hopping on a moving train was more than easy… and within minutes, he was slumping on the top of the train with a sigh and began to rest after the grueling hour and a half he'd endured.

The match had certainly gone into overtime, but now… he could rest easy.

Next stop? Honnouji Academy.

———————

“Honnouji knows about you now, Kirishima Eijiro.” The Captain rasped in the comfort of the bus, nursing his wounds much like the rest of his team.  “They’ll be prepared for you now, you and your weird abilities…”

“U-um, Captain?”

“What?!”

“I think the bus being so… weird, messed with the exterior cameras a little. We were only sending audio to Honnouji before the transmission was cut..”

“WHAT?!
