Development Update Sept 10 2022
Added 2022-09-10 21:36:04 +0000 UTCHope you all had a great summer! I know it's been a bit since I posted and update and I'm sorry for that. I've been traveling a bit but I'm back now and getting back into the thick of things. My first step on the next release is to go back and fix some common issues with the game. A number of bugs have been pointed out to me (and some I found on my own) in earlier parts of the game. A lot of this has to do with old coding that was just not very efficient or consistent. As such, I've gone back and simplified the way certain events link to and trigger one another which should make it less likely to get off track. I'm also slowly updating the hint system to be more specific on what you need to do next.
Another issue I'm working on is in regard to the subway train. Not only have many people had issues with animations on the train crashing the game, but as I move into more expanded scenes on the train, I didn't want to force players into it each time they have to travel. So, I've done a little coding work that transfers players to a blank map before the animation plays. This theoretically should help prevent the game crashing. Since I have never been able to reproduce the game crashing error, I can't guarantee this is a fix until I can get some people to playtest it, which I'll do once it's all done.
I have also created a second train entrance on the Business District train that is available only in the evening and only after Stacy gets the white top outfit. This is the entrance you will take if you want to get a subway groping scene. Otherwise, you can use the main entrance to just get where you want to go. This will allow me to create some extended scenes on the train that are purely voluntary without disrupting normal travel.
That's it for now. I'll post some sneak preview renders soon!
