86 (Eighty Six) S1 Episode 1 Reaction
Added 2022-12-24 17:30:13 +0000 UTC"NO FATALITIES"... So begins my journey into this series of racial discrimination, government coverups, the horrors of warfare, spider-mechs (drones), and a severe lack of responsibility/accountability by the citizens of this nation, not just those in power.
I'll admit, not my favorite premiere out there, but it's still appreciated that we're thrown into battle immediately, no exposition dumps, but right into the chaos as a small taste of what's likely coming down the road, not just the world itself, really playing up that whole "figure it out, piece by piece, as it goes on" nature of starting a new show. I don't doubt the show will grow on me, the atmosphere's pretty unique, the audio-mixing & transitions are noteworthy, the darker tone's certainly welcome, and plus, Sawano's doing the music... so it has a lot going for it already!

I wanted to wait a while before I started bringing it to Youtube so I could have a decent backlog for the 2 weekly uploads & not take away from the Patrons either... but glad you're loving my reactions, I appreciate the support & the compliments, helps me out a lot! I do my best, sometimes I'll miss something, but that's a testament to how much goes on in this series... plus, it's also layered & sometimes I need more context to understand what I'm seeing, but I was like this with the Arknights anime, I try to get as many details as possible while I watch because I'm giving the show the respect it deserves! :)

The attention to detail and observation is pretty spot on, even seeing stuff I’ve never seen before and I’ve watched this show multiple times. Also the pausing in-between the reaction is great for discussion so go for it.
