Dating-Sim Concept Announcement!

We’re finally ready to announce our full dating-sim concept, code named NotSoQuickie! We’ll only be covering the general concept in this post, but will have more details after this month’s Quickie.
The general idea is a Dating-Sim, similar to a smaller version of Persona that focuses entirely on the dating aspect. Each Quickie girl so far (including a couple more to be announced) will be in the game. Other features we want to include are:
- Play through story-lines with each heroine.
- Fully animated H-Scenes (as in Quickie)
- Social Dating System: build relationships, multi-choice decisions with consequences, dates, gifts, breakups and marriage.
- Interact with the heroines through a social network: messaging, pics, posts, events.
- Personality stats: intelligence, kindness, charisma, fitness and courage.
- Get jobs to earn money and increase Personality stats.
- Attend events: festivals, birthdays, holidays etc.
- Statistics for each heroine.
- Navigate the world with a map and explore scrollable environments.
We’ve attached prototype builds for Windows and Mac to anyone who might be interested in seeing our proof of concept.Please keep in mind that everything in the prototype is still a work in progress and will most likely change in the future.

We do want to make NotSoQuickie mobile friendly, but that will take some time. We'll hopefully be adding an Android port within the next few builds.

2018-03-24 00:37:43 +0000 UTCwell, hopefully it won't be *too* much like the Shin Megami Tensei persona series, while like love it, I tend to get bogged down by the sheer choices of what I could miss (ex going to level up a stat or doing something, thus missing something important). Maybe having that as a mode while giving people the option of a diffrent mode to go straight into the meat of the game without worrying that they may not have the right stat to achieve the desired result).

You mentioned 5 stats, so that could be five gurus to hang out with as a way of leveling those stats up. Want to get stronger? Hang out with the muscle head fitness guru. Want to gain courage? Hang out with the adrenaline junky. And so on. If you could gain stats on a date even a botched date might still be worth it.

2018-03-22 18:31:17 +0000 UTCI like me a dating sim, but the only gripe I generally have with most dating sims is that they put a time limit on how much you can do per run. If you go about it this way, IE you have a central story going on, add a sandbox that allows you to take your time getting every girl and maxing out all your stats as well. It's something I feel more sims need to add when they timelock you.
