In the early morning hours of August 25, 2008, all was quiet at the Springfield, Georgia home of Philip and Linda Heidt. Their adult son Carey was there, sleeping in the spare bedroom after another fight with his wife Robin. Around 3:30 a.m., the silence was broken by gunshots that would leave two people dead and one in critical condition.
