failed attempt Avis-doodle

I feel like I've lost it. Can't seem to get anything right.
Well here's something I tried to do anyhow- was supposed to be something simple, familiar and easy. I ended up struggling with it too for like two hours. I have gone from frustrated to downright verge-of-tears depressed tonight.
