Can you make a video on how you make your videos? I'm sure it will be very helpful

Daniel Li

Glad to be of assistance :)

Ivan Trapić

Thank you, this is really good! I will make changes to the script.

Dear friend, thank you for giving me the trust to proofread your work. I very much admire your work and effort you put into your videos. I have the following comments: 1) Great Britain didn’t directly enlist Yugoslavia into the Allies side more like pulled them away from Axis. Let me explain. Due to it strategic central location in the Balkans Yugoslavia couldn’t remain neutral in WWII. Before the beginning of the hostilities, it was surrounded by Axis and their puppets. Third Reich and Italy in the north, Hungary and Rumania in the east and Bulgaria and Albania in the south. Only non-Axis member was Greece. Feeling the great political and above all military pressure it joined the axis on 25th of March. However this move was unpopular with the military higher ups who staged a coup on 27th of March and redraw Yugoslavia from Axis. It is regarded that British did help in conducting a coup but there is no definitive proof. They probably did have their fingers in it because it did frow a wrench into the war gears of Germany since the Hitler was so mad after Yugoslavia left the Axis that he demanded to be destroyed. It is hard to tell if the coup would happen even without meddling of secret services because Yugoslavia was very unstable at that time. So it is somewhat misleading to say that British enlisted Yugoslavia into their war plans and offensives since the declaration of war to Axis would speel doom for Yugoslavia since it was surrounded by it. It would be more favourable to say that the Greece got a unexpected ally after the coup in Yugoslavia that could help their war effort. 2) After the Germans reached Zagreb Croatians didn’t really raised up against Yugoslavia like in some armed resistance it was more they didn’t care for it any more and didn’t provide any hinderance to the Axis movements. On the 10th of April Germany and Italy installed the puppet government and formed Independent State of Croatia with help of Croatian nationalists Ustaše. People thought that this will be indeed independent Croatia and celebrated and viewed Axis powers as their liberators. However, their dreams were quickly shattered whet the new government started the repression and ethnic cleansing of Serbs and Jews. Their crimes were so bad that the German and Italian representatives told them to stop it. Not because they cared about the people but because it will cause resistance from the people what eventually did happen. After the carving up of Yugoslavia was over remains of Yugoslavian arm formed the Četniks movement which sometimes collaborated the occupying Axis forces when trying to walk fine line between surviving and appeasement. People who had no other choice joined the Partisans who were founded by communist when the war started. So, people joined the Partisans as a last measure because they had nothing to lose. In time Partisans got more organised and got material support for Allies. Their armed resistance enabled them to free Yugoslavia with minimal Soviet help which in turn enabled Yugoslavia to be outside the iron curtain and be closer to the west than other communist countries. Therefore I would say: This allowed Croatians to give up on serving army war efforts and led to the complete collapse of the Yugoslavian resistance in this area. But in the upcoming years in the territory of Yugoslavia especially in mountainous areas, several resistance movements would be organised out of which the strongest would be the Partisan, which would cause many problems for the Axis. I hope my input would be of some use. Best regards, Ivan

I am wondering if you would be interested in covering a Canadian campaign specifically, or focus on specific 'minor' nation involvements throughout WW2? Also great job on your videos, never fail to disappoint!

If I can give my humble contribution in spotting potential mistakes I'll be more than happy :)

Ivan Trapić

I enjoyed the deluge because I knew nothing of Eastern European history in that timeframe, so the novelty was part of the reason I liked it so much. I will continue to support you regardless but hopefully Patreon helps give you some ability to chose topics that you find personally interesting!

Kyle Askine

In the next video I will be briefly covering the April campaign of 1941. Do you think your knowledge might be in use in spotting potential mistakes?

Eastory

I would enjoy doing that personally, but the views are a concern. I think if the topic is good, then the views would not be a problem. Are there any topics you would like to see covered?

Eastory

I have nothing specific to ask just compliment you on a job well done. If you ever go for topics of WWII in Yugoslavia I will gladly help you any way I could. Since I'm from Croatia I can potentially help you if you have sources in Croatian or Serbian. My interest also spans on the fate of Yugoslavs from WWI up to today so I can also help you with that. Keep up the good work!

Ivan Trapić

Then again, looking at the view numbers, I understand if the answer is no!

Kyle Askine

Do you have any future not battlefield map videos like the Deluge coming? I always enjoyed those as a change of pace!

Kyle Askine

Will you try to map ancient wars, like roman ones?

aserehuehue

How do you find information on unit position during WWII? Is there a central database for this?

Marco

Would you want to make a detailed Russian Civil War video?

Naseem Hanna

Would it be possible to put unit strength on WW2 videos? Or is that too heavy?
