Semi-weekly status update: Deluge I, cut content

I was thinking of experimenting with some semi regular updates in order to let you know about the progress made, tell you of what I am currently working on and to get to know your opinion.

As of now, the second part of the Deluge is progressing nicely - most of the script has been drafted and more than 10 pictures are ready.

This post is about the cut content from the first Deluge episode. In the attachments is an early draft of the script. Originally I wanted to dive into much more topics. Most important of which would be the internal politics of the Commonwealth. But in the end I cut them, because they didn't add much to the main narrative.

There are also some graphics that I had created, but decided to cut.

1) The concept of the original thumbnail was too complicated to be grasped quickly and I also wanted to show that the video has maps in it, so I made a new one.

2) This picture would have to show that the Cossacks had lost their friends/allies, but I found that the friend number was too small to be clearly emphasized and dropped this one.

3) This picture would be about the Commonwealth being stronger than Russia. There was the risk that the concept was too complicated to grasp quickly and the high striker might not have been identified with the little time given.

4) Russia is evaluating pros and cons of attacking the Commonwealth and then decides that fortune favors the brave and attacks. Were cut because didn't add anything to the main story.
