2025-08-18 14:05:20 +0000 UTCI saw this episode before watching campaign 1. I love both of these characters and their voice actors so much in the campaign. Both are sassy in the same way (Kash is arrogant and thinks he’s funny, Zahra is sharp and has dry humor, not unlike Vex), but they instead end up forming a strong bond and friendship with Vox Machina during a standalone mission prior to the chroma conclave. No betrayal, but they were begrudgingly forced to work together. I thought this was a creative way to introduce these characters and get a chance to see their abilities and personalities, and ultimately end up forming respect and a friendship. I saw in the credits that the voice actor for Zahra is actually the voice director for the whole series (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn).
