This went on for years until they got arrested and moved to a different state to continue.

2025-11-11 20:01:08 +0000 UTCA lot of people were upset about the “Angel” compilation - but I think they forget (or don’t acknowledge) that we’re watching from the Vees’ perspective. Literally, considering they’re Vox’s cameras. They don’t see people as people. Valentino gets to shoot the lowest earners for fun, Velvette’s models regularly get torn apart, and when Vox throws the girl in Val’s lap to the shark, his complaint is “I was using that.” Their part of the intro song was all about how disposable people are to them. Of course the compilation is viewed as funny to Vox (and Vel who probably put it together) - Angel’s not a person to them. He’s an asset. A thing. We’re supposed to be offended by the villains not seeing Angel as a person - that’s the point. The Vees are all terrible people. But because media literacy is hard to come by, some people are taking it out on the show itself instead of the characters (who canonically watched it, filmed it, edited it, and added goofy sound effects. Probably even posted it.) Drives me bonkers as a writer. Unreliable narrators are a thing, and the Vees are definitely among them.

Last season I didn’t get where vivzie was making light of abuse but that one scene this season really made me cringe. It made me feel so gross that there were “funny” cartoon sound effects over it
