Man this chapter was hell of a chapter and a fitting climax for this arc. Once the ritual was complete only Shirou, Issei, and maybe Xenovia really stood a chance against the pseudo heroic spirits. But Xenovia was against Gil and Issei against Siegfried so their fights ended quickly. Speaking of the pseudo heroic spirits, Jeanne’s whole personality taking a shift was an interesting choice, I wonder how much influence the true Jeanne has on her. Next Shirou’s fight against Gil was great with him pulling every stop to try and beat him, except for UBW. Through the entire fight I was waiting for UBW to be used and after he had to abandon his armor and I thought it would be the moment but alas he didn’t have enough mana. Hopefully in their next confrontation he realizes that he should use UBW much sooner. Moving forward the entire story is going to be flipped on its head. With the Hero factions new powers and aggressive stance it’s only a matter of time before the more prideful pantheons start warring with them. I wonder how long it will take for the devils to get involved. Lastly, Shirou being powerless in that moment when Ilya was so close is gonna do a number on him, I don’t know what avenues of strength he can pursue beyond maybe carrying potions or mana gems on him, but I know that he’s about to train like crazy!

I just know this will be affecting Shirou for a long time to come and I know that even if he succeeds in getting Illya back nothing will be the same not after everything she has done. He will always remember how she spearheaded genocide and killed many innocents.

2025-06-29 00:22:26 +0000 UTCWell, looks like Shirou got Balmung, but not Gram. High tier dragon slaying blade unlocked. I wonder if Harpe would sync up with Bellerophon and K&B? Harpe was involved in Belerophons birth and an immortal killing blade would work well with the challenge and reach the Heavens theme. Ise made a big push forward today with the Penetrator move. A bit more practice and he will be able to do some real damage to the top levels. Gil really is going off the deep end with his mass murder plans. Keeps saying that he likes the Yokai, but kills them by the hundred and promises to hunt down every man woman and child to get his way. Also the whole no helmet thing was definitely for egos sake. Looks like only Hero Faction members got the powerup. Ilya keeps on making their plans work and makes them competent. Shirou consistently keeps on spamming K&B, which makes sense with the perks and them boosting each others power. The Giant sword move was clever and nice, though it really drained a ton of mana and can't be used much on Earth. With all the swords and NPs he has gotten from Gil, you would think that he would use some of their tricks. Even just stuff to off balance opponents would be good. He and Rin should put their heads together and make a mana storage reserve with gems. The international community will probably start getting involved from here on out with HF's war declaration and EA + Enkidu being in play. If only Shirou and everyone thought to make a cellphone call and have their allies on standby.
