Illya is on a spiral of; if this is going to happen then we need to stop at all cost and no matter who started it, everyone capable of doing it is guilty by 'association'. It is the extreme of Kiritsugu's train of thought if you think about it, all supernatural's lives and all human lives were placed in scales and she in her mind it was no contest as the most Hero Faction saw inhuman as inhuman and end of story. How Connla kept escaping? Lancer other, less broken but still useful, skill Disengage as he always had to 'escape the battle' to dogde leaving no room for counters. The ritual details, some of it, will be revealed in the next chapter but basically Illya marked who she was powering up.

I had thought that maybe she was just doing this becuase of her vision of Goetia and fearing that he may be part of one of the supernatural factions. But the fact that she believed that if not him, then some other devil or god would bring about the end of humanity, and that the only answer is genocide is insane. I didn’t think she’d be that far gone and it’s gotta be difficult for Shirou to come to terms with the reality of his sisters intentions. Conla gaining Cu’s skills is insane and I can see how if he also got protection from arrows how he could dodge the thrown swords but the ones in Shirou’s hands? Given the speed Shirou’s moving at avoiding a fatal blow is crazy. For the Yasaka scene, I like how you wrote it from her perspective and we got to see it through her tainted mind it was an efficient way to showcase the advanced hypnosis while progressing plot. Next, Xenovia managing to take on Angelo/Gilgamesh was surprising, in the beginning he had to focus on her and the yokai army, but after the army went down he was still on his back foot which was surprising, I guess its becuase he might not have as good knowledge of his treasures as actual Gil does or maybe he was just lacking a couple of useful Noble Phantasms for that situation. The rest of the fight panned out as expected, with Issei beating Heracles and then Siegfried swapping partners with Herc. But the ending was insane, their plan succeeded and now it seems like all of the hero’s descendants have become a closer version of the originals, maybe it’s similar to a class card install but I’m sure you’ll explain more on it later which I can’t wait to read. One of the questions I have is if the ritual applied to all descendants/relative versions of anybody recorded in the throne of heroes, if that’s the case then they might have unintentionally upgraded Shirou via his relation with EMIYA, which I sincerely hope is the case becuase that would be awesome!

2025-06-11 04:38:39 +0000 UTCCongrats on reaching 100 chapters. I love this chapter. I have been wondering what would be the turning point and color me surprised, I just love the interactions. The banter and talk between siblings are very good and meaningful. It shows how close they are and what the other is willing to do to ensure the other's safety. It really is coming down to the wire for Ilya and the Hero Faction especially when the vision is coming soon. Now there is further evidence that it is Goetia who will bring about the end and is probably one if not the main end game antagonist in the story. Connla being Shirou's test run in what Ilya will do for the HF is also pretty good as he is getting a grasp on what the latter has planned. I doubt it will fully help him when he will eventually faces off against Angelo again but it's better safe than sorry. I also like that we do get Angelo's and Ilya's hesitance. Both understanding what they are doing is wrong but willing to do it for the long term goals that need to be realized. Especially since it does involve preventing Shirou's death. I do like how Angelo tells Yasaka his name is Shirou and acknowledges its from his friend. Love the fight between the main group and the Hero Faction. The former has gotten pretty strong to reach the point. The latter, while still strong, are also struggling against the former. I love the interactions between Jeanne and Irina and Siegfried and Kiba. The first two I find very enjoyable especially with their clashing ideals. The last two, I love the parallelism between them. Both coming from a traumatic experience but one has found peace while the other still burns with revenge. I'm excited to see how their battle will go and it makes me wonder if Kiba will get Gram from this encounter or in the near future. Man, I'm very excited and scared at the power the Hero Faction had been given by Ilya. It is gonna be hard for the main group and the reinforcements to deal with them. They will probably be defeated because the gap in experience, skill, and power has just further increased. Especially with Gilgamesh and Heracles present. Siegfried with his dragon slaying blood will be a threat to Ise and Vali, and Jeanne will be deadly. Overall, good chapter!

2025-05-28 15:48:49 +0000 UTCIf you ask the world to trust you to be Hero's while spending your time killing innocents, kidnapping, torturing, proclaiming genocide as the answer and trying to grab power at any cost, it's obvious what is going to happen. The Hero's path is a hard one and compromise leds you far from it. Connla is straight up an annoying obstacle for Shirou. His sole purpose in life is to stall Shirou when his friends are in danger. Which will be even worse with more of Cu's mind and experience in play. Everyone needs to do a full retreat with the Hero Faction getting that power up. With the power of the Heroic Spirits backing them up things are going to get bad fast. Full power Gilgamesh and Herakles working together and being serious is a nightmare scenario, but then you throw in Sigfried for anti-dragon tank, Jeanne d'arc for defense NP + anti-devil and after that it's Cao and Faust getting boosted stats, skills and experience. Shirou will probably get the blades in EMIYA's Reality Marble if the boost didn't only go the the Hero Faction, which could be useful as he has the mana to project any of them (going to need to keep having Rule Breaker on the down low). Outside of that, I wonder how it would change him? His base stats would get a boost (not including Bellerophon), but how would Shirou's mind and tactics change as he already has most of EMIYA's moves. Artoria would get a ton of NP's and her armor. Xenovia locked in and was determined to take off Gils head. Also Gilgamesh shot a luxury car at at her, whats next, the kitchen sink?
