2025-05-28 13:33:56 +0000 UTCI've been anticipating Kyoto for quite a bit of time so I was happy to see you get started on that in this chapter. Mostly because it's one of my favorite parts of Canon DXD. And with all the additional characters and plot points, Kyoto just had all the more build up. And we certainly saw some of that with the proper introduction of Towa and Yushiro. And while on the subject of family, there is also that last scene.

2025-05-22 08:33:24 +0000 UTCLet’s gooo it’s time for the Kyoto arc! The ride over was pretty simplistic, but I liked the detail on Tsubasa calling Shirou her brother, it’s a fun idea. Exploring the city until they got dragged into the incident went about as expected, but almost coming to blows with Towa and the yokai was a surprise. Honestly, if it came down to it I think Shirou would obviously choose to save Ilya over Yasaka, but I know that he’d put himself on the line to try to save them both given the situation. Later in the chapter, the interaction where the man with his daughter was afraid of Shirou just by looks alone was in my opinion an important detail. To me it seems like at least in this situation Shirou has begun to look more like EMIYA demeanour wise as well now. I wonder if you’ll have his skin, eye color, and hairstyle change or if you’ll keep them the same. Anyways with the chapter ending with Ilya and Shirou meeting again, the next one is bound to open on an interesting conversation!

This might actually be the first time since the Caliburn fight that both Rias and Sona's crews are going to be working together. Cabbage man from ATLA? I appreciate how well you have presented the wider world and how you have shown the diffrent cultures and organizations fighting and not just the protagonists. Shirou vs Illya argument and likely fight/capture attempts coming up for # 100. Alternative title, I got 99 problems and Illya is all of them.

I thought that pairing was still on the table and you were just doing a slow burn with it until the right time in the story where we can get a spotlight on her character. Great chapter as always btw.
