Arm update: still unconfortable when I work too

Comments

Glad to hear that you’ve got a great boss! And I hope your arm makes a quick recovery! Now for the chapter, it started pretty simply, though I did wonder what Odin could discover about the park. Then Loki revealed himself and more than that, he brought Fenrir with him. The fight started about as expected but wow did I not expect Fenrir to be this above the rest of them, especially when all of them combined their attacks only for him to emerge basically fine and with how fast Azazel was put out of commission. Thank goodness for Shirous speed, it’s one of the only things that keep him and others alive in situations as bad as this. Shirou flying absurdly high while tracing as many copies of Kanshou and Bakuya as he could to increase their strength was a good strategy. The detail on how only a human could change the legend was also neat. Then there was Fenrirs default strategy of growing and shrinking to block, dodge, and get in close which was surprisingly effective despite its simplicity. The second part of the fight was a welcome surprise; the reinforcements were definitely needed. Unfortunately for Baraqiel he had to take a heavy hit just to save one of the reinforcements. And double unfortunately Akenos huge attack didn’t do much. And then triple unfortunately Rossweisse played her hand and lost to a Loki clone. By the way I loved the dialogue between the Loki clones. The third part of the fight was unexpected, I think it was the most injured and worst scenario that we’ve seen so far. And then part of the khaos brigade showing up again was not what I anticipated. Thank goodness for Avalons boosted healing rate as a result of Altria showing up, but sooner rather than later I think they’re gonna figure out Shirou has it. This has been an awesome chapter! And next tule Vali will show up going all out, but I don’t believe it’ll be as easy as having him use JG and instantly winning.

Spoilers. There is a very good reason why that particular magic and others were just heard off but nobody really used them. But that is for the end game, the last few sagas.

I thank you for answering. I honestly thought you were from Portugal to mention my beautiful Barcelona but you live in America right? As for the schedules, I wrote the review at 3 a.m. Anyway, I'm a little satisfied with some things. Although I forgot to comment on The True Gods. I suppose you will expand later but if you don't need the egg of the world for that, does that mean that Shirou has a legend or that the titles have mystery? If this is possible, what would happen with a God and Kanzaki Mitsuya? The truth is that you have thought about adding new things to the story or removing things that you planned to add? I'm curious a while ago with the LB7 someone asked if there were plans for Camazotz but I guess with the elimination of ORT nothing will ever happen. I'm curious you said that things like time travel or spirits with powers had no place in history. With a super alien dragon hunter in the very style of Evangelion, don't you think it's not so crazy to give a little more emotion to the story with a little madness? To be honest, you said that it was impossible for the gods of time to allow Aozaki's magic but under that rule neither did a magic of parallel worlds or remove any object from your mind. Being that "denial of nothing" enters that concept that if the carrier decides to create "a weapon to kill gods" or create a virus to kill gods. It would be a danger. To be fair, a ban on time travel can be from the past, present or future. And looking at it in an interesting way, they could even be the protected Aozaki sisters of Kronos and a timeless policeman hunting criminals who seek to break the temporary law. But this is an idea. To be honest, being able to control causality and manufacture an entire world at your disposal are not so far from "time travel." I'm also interested in knowing if you saw the spoilers of the last volume of Lord El-melloi? The truth is that Rin has a Rho Aias and a spell that allows him to synchronize with Luvia at 100%. I must say that Fate's magic went to the background in the fic even the circuits and more they look like characters throwing special powers like in a video game. And there are also the UBW buffs. According to what I read, Shirou can make a BP inside the RM and pass the passive ability to all the weapons inside it. I know something similar has already happened with several Hrunting hunting Zolgen but this seems to be different something like combining Gae Bolg with Ruler Braker. Apparently you can also exchange things in a place similar to Boogie Woogie. And something else. The swords that store forbidden magic seem to be something interesting in the future but the simple version of the "magic of the age of the gods" of fate cannot be more powerful than an NP and with Belp as a source of mana Shirou would not really suffer from wear. Anyway, thank you again and have a great recovery.

Lacró

I see. Thanks for the clarification.

JeanMartin Freites

She can but she is also a criminal so they need to hash out the details.

Ronaldo Souza

You really did a good job at the showcase and just what a threat Fafnir is. Good thing that there are reinforcements here. Also shouldn't Kuroka be able to spend time with her sister already? Or did I misunderstand the aftermath between her fight with Rias.

JeanMartin Freites

Forgot about the Maous bit. Their introduction is also Runeas introductioin and you are right, they aren't a threat nor a problem right now but don't underestimate them because if fighting them was simple then God would still be alive. Power isn't the only metric of danger, they are smart, cunning and know their own weakness enough to go around them. If they have anything, Leviathan for instance isn't a dragon here, never claimed to be a dragon here. She is Fallen Goddess, that was the classification I used and that makes her weak than her complete self but also different in other ways. There were other Fallen Goddess in the past but Tiamat is OP as the First Mother so Leviathan is the strongest of her kind getting stronger by taking the aspect of Envy.

Ronaldo Souza

Kay, long one. Expect some short responses in no particular order. First, the pegasus power level: while Bellerophon is a Divine Beast who makes Shirou into a minor god it is still a minor gods. Minor gods, power level whise, can challenge the major ones and even beat them under certain circunstances but truly win is another case. Shirou isn't on the top 10 of the verse, not even close, but he can fight them to a certain extent. But isn't Fenrir weaker than Ddraig JGD? Yes but it was an insane dragon versus a Mage, a fallen angel and then Vali's group. Insane is the keyword, Ddraig would have won that easily if he was loose and it would take Vali using JGD for them to have a chance. Basically Shirou at this point can fight a lot of people, gods and Fenrir among them, that doesn't mean he can win without using his brain if he can win at all. Going straight to Tannin, because it is starting at my face at the bottom of the page and I want to clarify it sooner, not using his corpse is a matter of respect. Shirou is a gentleman at the end of the day and he wouldn't violate someone's body without persmission which nobody bottered to ask because nobody expected him to die. They weren't best friends or even great friends but Shirou talked with Tannin, cooked for him, got along with him and was grateful to him for helping Ise. Besides his death has more impact if there are no ways to return. Vali's group presence because of Kuroka was because she really wanted to see her sister and there are no two ways about it. It has been years since they could spend some time together and the group wouldn't want her to go alone even if they held her back looking for a opportunity since several of them, Le Fay, Arthur, Albion and even Vali to a minor extent when it doesn't involve a fight, wouldn't want her to jump the gun and risk things going wrong. About Medusa's religion, that is how they start and a modern one does look like a cult, I can't disagree on that. But who did say that the gods don't have contact with presidents and such? They have a direct line to certain beings and some countries are 100% under the sway of a few gods, all with benefits and problems. Blame DxD setting if you disagree because it is the only way such a setting can exist without fully going for the magical side. The thing about Medusa is that she is an upstart but just the first one in a while since many religions started centuries before. Also, her presence in Japan wasn't a secret, Athena knew it and she was officially accepted by devils, who are different from demons and their soul tibit is something that shall be elaborated later, so Aphrodite didn't need anyone to tell her. But it was an opportunity that the Goddess of Love couldn't let pass and Rin ended up in the crossfire. Medusa tried to help Rin but something in Tohsaka is making the goddess more guarded, all of which was portrayed in the story at one point or another. About Caliburn, getting it is a matter of mentality and Altria still didn't realized her soul was Artoria or that she is a Reincarnated Artoria. Basically she needs to self actualize to draw the sword after understanding what she did wrong that led it to break, or her to fail to pick it up again, in the first place. But Caliburn has a deeper purpose, one that involves Solomon and functions. Powerscaling is complicated since a lot of people got buffed and I made sure to not nerf anyone but Fenrir... he needs to be one of the Strongest because Ragnarok is nothing without him. Sure it wasn't him who fought Thor or started the whole thing but the guy eats the Moon. Eats the Moon, that statment alone should make him a monster of Legend and he wasn't even in his final form because Odin was avoiding making things worse, if he was then he would jump straight to Third place int he Strongest because only Great Red and Ophis could beat him at that point. In turn, Vidar will become the Third once facing that Fenrir because of how their Legend works so. Much like in Fate you need to remember that Legends and stories are strenghts and weaknesses to everyone involved on them. There is only one way to eliminate the latter which was already mentioned in the past and will be brought up in the future. Took me a couple of hours to type all this so sorry if I forgot something but some of the questiones were spoilers. Either way, hope you are satisfied.

Take care of yourself man, if you need more time to work on your arm or even need to take a break to get it sorted, then by all means go ahead. I’m praying for you to get better. Also loved the chapter! I always wondered if we’d ever get to this arc back when you first started this series, and I’m really happy to see that we’ve gotten to it!

Just Kab

Me, how long I hope you get better. I want to comment on some things. You don't need to answer for the good of your arm. Also, may God bless the goodness of your boss. Wow, it's a shame, a really bad ending. To be fair, this chapter is the same chapter in which Shirou faces JGD. A powerful and giant enemy appears while another bad one stays on the sidelines / escapes and a group of powerful characters stay to face him with Shirou out of the equation. They look surpassed and Shirou enters where he fights and is always "Shirou that monster is too powerful" there are euphemisms like "this weapon should not hurt" but he does it despite the fact that the creature should be more powerful than the Pegasus such as Draig or Fenrir who have more legend than the Pegasus and it always seems that he can win (I must praise you you always have Shirou in that limbo of bragging where he says "we can beat Shiva, the pillars, Odin, minor gods but he always loses" I have no idea why you strive in Always point out that the Pegasus and Shirou can beat everyone. If it's that easy you can face Shirou with Rizevim and finish the fic. Where is it for the progression and development of the protagonist?) But he ends up looking overwhelmed. Here is my disappointment, what reason did you have to do after a few episodes the same thing you did before. Shirou and company about to die magically and bang appears Altria allowing Avalon to cure Shirou and saving the day with Vali ready to solve the situation. I understand that the cliché of all the enemies entering Fuyuki was inevitable but after the faction of the heroes entered by the train and all the paraphernalia of Medusa guarding the city with their snakes it turns out that magically they appear here without anyone noticing them? As far as I remember there was a super border field that was the one that Kokabiel flew over that time and after all it is not supposed to show the faces of the potential dangers to Medusa so that she is aware? It's a slightly awkward excuse about Kuroka, although it's valid, it took too long for her to decide to visit Koneko. After the fiasco of his confrontation with Rias, the return to earth after the Gremory vs Sitri and JGD turns out that only now wants to appear? Not to mention the other apparent reasons. Again the pedant of Altria returns to the scene. I think I said once that I would refrain from criticizing her but it is frankly disappointing. The group says they have other reasons but here they are not explained, I think you should think very well what other reasons you will give to Vali's team. If you say again that they come back for Calibur for a cheap excuse that Cao Cao and company are ready or something like that although many people here do not see narratively the damage that that does to Arturia's character, the truth is that it would be fully regrettable. The truth is that practically the entire subject of Calibur is a bad joke. Since she says that Ruler was slowing down her power until her first appearance is to say that she was not ready to take out the "sword of the stone" metaphorically speaking. After the peace conference, 3 months will have passed until Zolgen and his justification for drawing the sword was that Cao Cao, Gilgamesh, Rizevim and Zolgen were a threat to the world. A reasoning that if you analyze it you can see the incoherence and stupidity of the character. What leaves her in a bad way. Zolgen was dead to her. He never justifies his interest in the world of demons, if no one knows what Rizevim and Zolgen are up to. De Cao Cao knows that he wants to separate the human world from that of the gods by the genocide although they never get to practice it so they are just words. An ideal so poor would have broken Calibur or would not even have allowed to move the sword, right? So all that theater of Shirou facing her and then making her will falter to what came? Especially because when Shirou talks about the sword he says that God told Merlin that he will forge the sword with the excuse that he wanted a kind of savior and Shirou feels sad because he denies the world a savior? Salvador of what exactly? 1000 years before Arthuria someone had died to atone for humanity. An omniscient savior for a world that was summarized in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Neither near the new continent, nor near Asia. Who is that savior who was supposed to be Arturia supposed to save? Humans? The same magical creatures that in the Arthurian Cycle the knights are in charge of decimating right and left? By any chance the salvation that Arturia would give was to recover Jerusalem? It is practically impossible for God to want a savior when 12,000 years earlier he had Solomon. There were also David, Moses and many more, including those who expanded Catholicism to the new world. It is unlikely that you will give him a credible excuse to justify an omniscient and omnipotent savior. But the truth is that what if it's not like that? I say Shirou when he sees a story about the sword he would have to look at it from a fixed point through it. He saw God talking to Merlin or Merlin one day said to the sword "I forged you because they asked me" being Merlin who can look at all those present for his clairvoyance and well that is a rule that can be dodged it may be that we still do not know what God wanted at that time to ask for Caliburn to be created. What leaves Altria at a bad stand. What does she owe to demons when knights also faced demons in the past or to the magical world in general when she should seek the protection of humanity. That's why you gave him such a banal reason as seeing those 4 as threats for no reason when technically his enemies are the gods. It's a little sad you make it seem that Altria is unable to reason and you reduce Shirou to a person who interferes where they don't call him for an authoritarian sense. Even in the fight itself you reduce Altria narratively for Shirou's good. People overlook but in her first appearance she thanks Arthur for giving her Rular and the guy tells her that among the two Altria is the best in fencing. Something that has a lot of value. The canonical Arthur of DxD is among the top of the strongest humans along with Vali, Cao Cao and Estrada (others are missing but it may be a spoiler) why is it important? In the DxD canon at a certain point Arthur and Strada have a confrontation in which Arthur points out to Strada that he would have liked to fight with him at his best. Durandal's previous carrier was sweeping the floor with the ORC and Arthur for the fight for a light fight and then leaves. Kiba, who at that moment is stronger than his current self and who has a "divine speed" recognizes that he could never equal Arthur even with demonic swords. So here Altria should be much more overwhelming than Shirou even being able to react to the Last Stardust but not only is she unable to use wind magic, bursts or even react to a high-speed attack. It's disappointing that this happened to him and it also happens with Kuroka that again it's not because of the power of destruction but because Rías can magically fight hand-to-hand with an experienced expert and Ki/Touki on top, the same expert who could damage the JGD. Also with Georg being a prodigy and what should be a monster within this world since the guy can control what in Fate would be "the magic of the era of the gods" but here he seems to be an inept who can't even do that. Or the same Gilgamesh that goes from having a vault with many NP said by Shirou when they first faced each other, by Azazel who affirms that the descendants were collecting the NPs over the centuries. So that in the end it ended with 20 sad NPs and those that Xenovia magically destroyed (again a euphemism of "it shouldn't happen but it happens, please don't ask how"). The other guy is Vali who magically loves Fenrir for what exactly? Do you know about Rizevim's small school group and its origins to look for a God Slayer? It wouldn't make sense for them to be there anyway. Frankly, I think you could have handled this better. You're forcing Altria's entrance too much with Shirou. People like it because "live another woman for Shirou to have sex", the same happens with Rossewaise is not strange that it seems that every time he is with Shirou the guy is putting a hand on him every time he can? Eventually Shirou would meet Altria without having to force things so much, the same with Rose. You were doing well with Odin in my opinion. Frankly, I believed that when Odin got serious and suggested going to the park it was to fight with Shirou. When Odin complains about how weak humans are and everything had a little air of the evil Gods of "Campione" and I really liked that concept. Frankly The father of everything has that charism of constantly looking for conflict and after humiliating him by showing him as a coward in front of JGD (which was acceptable until four weakest guys constantly destroy the main body and only one of them had a dragon slayer) then Odin and Sleipnir fighting against Shirou and Belp to get Shirou's demons while he faced him the rest seemed great in my head in fact that's why I was insistent with Ragnarok that time (I still don't share the fact of making a Parcaius and putting together all the endings of The pantheons as if they meant the same thing). But Loki appeared and just a week after Elbaph what makes me ask if it was planned or not but that is not important an equalizer was needed for Akeno and although in his time I thought it would be Shirou facing Baraquiel with Raikiri for Akeno. This works, I guess. That leads me to my last point. The villain's motive. How frivolous and banal. You have a problem with the villains and that is that none is relevant or even important because of the little time you give them on the screen and the real value. To be fair, you have a lot of powerful guys on the bench but none has an air that inspires terror, fear or hatred. They are all boring and uninteresting. The next great villain is the HF but for whom exactly are they villains? For Shirou or for the Yokai? You have empty and absurd motives. A faction that was founded by the original Gilgamesh a long time ago and that lasted for centuries. Shirou doesn't know the story of the heroes. So he considers them enemies because they want good for humanity? I must think that Shirou is not being biased here. Shirou thinks that all magical beings are equally good and that evil apparently does not exist. That's why you have him in that constant limbo of "The demons are good" Shirou sees an upper-class girl cry and feels that that's what Illya wants to destroy as if he knew what that girl is. Call me crazy but high-class people are never fine with their heads and have their murky things, that girl may be crying for someone you know or for having lost her collection of slaves/low-class servants reincarnated out of necessity. Without asking why a tribute cannot bring together the lower and middle classes. I remember that Shirou justified in front of Angelo that the evil pieces were necessary because the poor demons were not born. It seems that that limbo does not allow him to see what Diodora did with the nuns. It's a shame that you didn't write a reaction with them but if you did that I guess it would no longer be worth anything that Shirou was justifying everything to the demons. I suppose that those nuns who were under Diodora's arm without Ajuka "detecting" the King piece will be saved by Medusa which brings me to the other question and it is how unfortunate that you are handling the jellyfish affair or maybe that is your intention. Medusa is so selfish that after Rin's thing she didn't offer her help or even worried about the rest of the victims (if she's not in the narrative, nothing happened, it's use saying that if she watches them or something) and her interest in promoting herself with Fuyuki's political figures. Don't you see how that represents a danger? In the long term, the cult of jellyfish (that is what it is today, demons cannot have Faith because they know that if it exists, Faith belongs to those who do not know if it exists or not but still believe in it) can represent a danger. Hypothetically speaking, if a God knows a president and he begins to exhibit his religion to the public, who prevents the president from murdering those who do not want to follow him? That happens and in the Middle East because jellyfish would be different if you look so desperate to have followers. Who protects those humans? Other gods? The same humans? You certainly have a plot of heroes and humans there. I say this because you make it look like Medusa is greedy while she spends it talking about how she must enchant her audience. To be honest, it seems that you mean she is an exotic dancer. Even about the statue. Throughout history it was always the faithful who never built the gods (except the colossus of Rhodes) but here she is so greedy that she wants something like that for everyone's exhibition without consulting. Perhaps no one asks the human and worldly public of Fuyuki if they want to be protected by a goddess and a couple of demons. What would happen if they failed? Those innocent people would die without knowing why and there is no one to prosecute the guilty. I know it's a pretty cold vice but that's what the HF should represent, not senseless extremists. But of the previous villains like Lakmia was and if I remember correctly everyone complained that he didn't have enough to be a villain. I agree, it was practically only bad for a chapter and a half. I must say that if Sirzches had been a leader and not a coward, he would have ended that conversation by telling Rias that he wants him to stay so that Shirou can make weapons for the demons, it would have been the best and he would have bought some prestige from Lakmia as a villain because he was right, there was a war and they were not prepared. Many died and it seems that Shirou didn't even care. It's just that not only that but how wasted the "a magus who works for the clan" is when this started it seemed like a good idea I said "shit it was interesting to see Shirou compete with magus from other clans even face Aozaki in the final of Gremory vs Bael" however all that was diluted over time and in the whole damn underworld only 3 magus have a contract. The magus who are in an environment terribly superior to the Fate universe are trash practitioners. Wodime that was a monster in the LB5 here it would be top however the magus are giving pity and even "The classroom" of Weber is a shame. To be honest, Sirzches saying that to Rías was a precedent of the little time that Shirou had left as Gremory magician because that's what he is, he is not a Rias magician, he signed a contract with the clan and has obligations that Rias is indulgent is another thing but if El Lucifer demands it must be fulfilled or else Gremory can lose political prestige. They are ties that Rias would not risk breaking but would not force Shirou either. It's a shame that it will come to nothing. And the last great villains Leviathan and company. Frankly, the presentation of those guys was excellent. But it was not the time or the place. Shirou's reasoning is to go from a funeral to look for a library instead of going to confront Lucifer. Now you may want Runeas with Shirou and that's why you took advantage but the way to introduce the Maou was not the best. That knowledge that Shirou was looking for with the excuse that they would not have access when they are on earth is absurd. As a magician of Gremory, he could ask Rías or Zeoticus to send that material to the earth. He is Azazel's partner who held 2 battle fronts being the technically weakest side. And then there is heaven it is unthinkable that God does not leave the knowledge and the origin of those four even Rafael should have it. Medusa just had to call Miguel and they would have the information. That presentation looks more like one you would do in a story where a Ranger is looking for revenge. Shirou has no reason to fight them. Those 4 are the responsibility of the three factions and frankly they are not a threat. Practically Miguel always barriers the ground against Lucifer, he already did it the first time, he already did it when he tried to steal the corpse of Moses and he will do it when the trumpets sound, Miguel is Luficer's natural counter even being Miguel portrayed many times as a Dragonslayer. A son of Adam? I think there's a cursed bastard around with a malle ready to crush the skull of any brother he has. A few flies you have the power of Bael to serve you. The only one who seems a little annoying is Leviathan but with Gaia out she shouldn't have the authorities of the beast so Balmung and goodbye. Leviathan's presentation was a bit disappointing. She kills a Tanin who should be equal in power if they according to the genesis were created by God. The saddest thing about that is that if Odin doesn't revive it either because they destroyed the brain or the body, the guy will revive so that God killed him again along with the rest of the creatures. Then Serafall, I came to think that we would have a decent villain when by my mistake I read that I had cut Serafalla into cubes and scattered them on the sand. However with so much gossip about not having a classic villain and that the Maou were worse and you fall into the classic cliché. Frankly, it would have been better if Serafall died. I say we all want to see the continuation of "The Hero of a Demon Lord" but Leviathan's death would have given Sona the imposed to stop being the shadow of Rias (who by the way is currently a Mary Sue) and start an arms race with the NPs without Shirou's screamer telling him that he can't. It would have been good and it is that the idea of Marbas is already burned even with how easy it is to circumvent the Throne of Heroes it would have been fun that Shirou instead of meeting the typical ones we all know would have met the Serafall of that dimension. But well, what happened happened. Two more things Shirou out of nowhere plans to make a gun with his "friend"? Since when is he Tanin's friend? He just met him a day before the big dance and nothing else after that the invasion. That dialogue was stupid. And you talked about deepening the history of the NP that excited me what can say that Shirou can get the mount of Sant George and ride Belp without KyB in addition to the fact that if he updates the legend of Ascalón he will know that in the modern world it is more represented as a spear which is interesting. There are still more villains but some may be spoilers. Aphrodita doesn't qualify because no one knows who "warned" her where Medusa was. Anyway, thank you for reading. Again, you don't need to answer this. They are my observations and a bit of constructive criticism.

Wow. Arthur really is cock blocking goetia like a good hero should. Worry about your arm first before us as we can always wait and your job takes precedence. Loved the chapter and I can wait for you to get better before another chapter. Your health improving is more important.
