Glad to hear that at least you don’t need surgery. I hope your physiotherapy goes smoothly and helps you out! In the meantime definitely take it slow for as long as you need to! For the chapter, Ise’s training to use Touki to aid with his recovery was a fun spar. Ise having trouble using mana but still getting it to work and breathing fire even without the boosted gear was awesome. Then him making a comeback and managing to pull off scarlet mail without using his sacred gear at all was cool sight, honestly its nice to see how far he can go even without using his sacred gear but just using his disposition and training as a dragon. When Rias mentioned a tricky upcoming meeting, I honestly hadn’t expected it to be with Seekvaira. In hindsight it makes sense, but I had forgotten about potential repercussions of Rias taking Ravel into her peerage. But as expected it was dealt with through Rias’s logical explanations and her friendship with Seek should be fine in the long run. Then there was Akenos idol debut and Odins surprise visit. Given the last line I wonder if Odin has shown up becuase of Shirou’s ‘second wind’ during the fight against JG.

2024-10-01 13:00:44 +0000 UTCYep, buffed and adapted a lot of things. You see, there is a reason why the Heavenly Dragons are stronger but it, and everything else in the future, are spoiilers. Suffice to say it has to do with their Concepts. Ddraig in a sense represents growth and with a Concept such as that even if he isn't a god it needs to be treated with respect. Also they are said to be as strong as gods so Odin and others should fear facing them without a plan. Of course there are gods that could take both of them down pretty easily like Susanoo who has dragon slayer affinities but for the most part the dragons are capable of facing Pantheons by themselves to an extent.

2024-09-30 18:34:57 +0000 UTCHi, I am new so it's probably something someone else already asked but what are your long term plans with this fic? With the current patching of events I can see it going on for still hundreds of chapters, at least if you decide to stay on the main dxd course. Also do you plan to extend again Shirou's harem in the future or we can see it being pretty much consolidated now? Tbh I usually hate harems, it's not really my genre but until now you managed it in an impeccable way and no character has been distorted or lost personality so I can't really say nothing. Hype for the next chapters and hope to see more of Vali's party interactions in the future. Also a curiosity: Juggernaut Drive is already strong in the novels but it shouldn't be something really so strong to make a Chief God like Odin so worried, did you decide to buff it? Thanks for the chapter and hope your arm gets well soon

2024-09-26 09:53:59 +0000 UTCI have plans to everyone but there were just too many people so some get delaid, others fall to the way side and others just finish their arcs early. Luvia is one which I had several plans and had to discard a few but she is one who still has room to work with.

2024-09-26 02:13:35 +0000 UTCHope you get well soon!!! Glad that you didn’t need to get surgery, and I’m glad everything’s overall okay for ya! Also, just a spontaneous question. Do you have anything planned long term for Luvia? She had some focus during and at the end of the Excalibur Fragment arc and her relationship with Rias/Shirou, but recently she’s kinda been more in the background and her interactions with the group have started to falter a lil bit (that’s just me tho.) Overall, loved the chapter!

2024-09-25 22:57:36 +0000 UTCIt was extra lore about how sacred gears help humans in small ways as well while also giving Ise a Boost of confidence so his power wasn't just Ddraig's. Also to help him notice that he can fight alone but he doesn't need to because he doesn't blame the dragon for anything.

2024-09-25 21:53:43 +0000 UTCShit, to be honest, I didn't want to write anything about this because of your arm. Frankly, I'm not the kind of person who is happy about other people's pain, but if that way it can be guaranteed that at Christmas you have a quiet vacation well for me. You don't need to answer, I wanted to comment on the whole previous arc but it will be better another time, I don't know how to reduce 5 pages of Word. Haha Now, I don't know what correlation there is between "the first love" that you mention and losing twice 1 with a sword that can conveniently cut Sesshomaru's skin like butter (I hope that Typhon's children are something and you're not going to say "they are typhon's children but very far away" as you did with the lineage of Zeus) and that a blow from an Iseei who is extremely weak could have broken her nose when she had a Kendo duel with Shirou and a subsequent magical confrontation with him and Kiba. Yes, that sucks. To be honest, I care little or nothing about Setsuna the truth. If you decide that she will be the bitch of the school thugs, it's not my problem. She is a character who does not hold any importance in the fic because of the little presence, anyone here will tell you that the only thing they expect from her is that she ends with Shirou. I think you failed to put her here and not let her maneuver and the fact that you are going to give her a whole arc for her, either tomorrow or in 3 years, whether it's 90k words or 500k. Little will matter because he has been there since the beginning of the fic and until now he has not done anything relevant. I think the only thing I care about is that you didn't say anything about Rin. And I hope I'm wrong. Not for anything else but to be honest in the fateXdxd verse there is nothing interesting to read. As for Shirou. Well, his first fight against the Flutist was won by Rias not him, against Shinji (Seek was there) and the assassins that Kiri sent over time the descendants of heroes became toilet paper and the hunter of Artemis turned out to be a bad joke if an extremely weak Setsuna could defeat her. That was a baby environment in its entirety. To say that Iseei always had BG is like saying that Shirou always had swords. It's absurd to say that Iseei is nothing without BG because Shirou is currently nothing without Belp (something I'm against, but we'll talk later). Anyway. A hug and get well soon. Maybe not soon so you can rest but don't hinder your daily life.

2024-09-25 21:49:04 +0000 UTCNow about them being weak... they aren't. Rias vs Kuroka ended how it ended because Rias recieved proper training and has a busted power; Power of Destruction needs to be strong not only for what it represents but for something later on the story that has to do with the Origin of devils. Vali's team isn't weak either and every defeat they had so far, if you can call how Kuroka was almost munched by the Raging Dragon a defeat, was because the opponent started prepared. Even Juggernaut Drive had time to Boost a little before Vali arrived. If he got there earlier then Ise wouldn't have been a challange because Vali would go his own Juggernaut Drive and win because he was sane. Sorry for splitting the answers, arm was acting up.

2024-09-25 21:32:00 +0000 UTCThat wasn't the intent, nor what was show at all. First about Setsuna, it is because of the original character that she got in the road of not being in a harem. She was raised by parents with a set standard and values and so, from the very begining, she wouldn't end up with neither Shirou nor Ise for that matter. She was always the 'first love' who wasn't really love or didn't developed into one. A fleating passion everyone has, that first girl, or guy, you thought you would end your life with only to grow apart for no reason other than both wishing different things. About Ise and BG, all his fights were dependent on it and its benefits. Think about it this way, before Shirou had Bellerophon or any NP he was already a good fighter. Third rate magus, true, but a good fighter because of Kiri and Iri's upbring which had him knowing his Element earlya nd practice his magic from the begging. The last scene of the fight was an homage to DxD origins, sorry if you didn't like it but you can't deny that it fit even if Ise isn't going to ever see Setsuna naked again.

2024-09-25 20:53:12 +0000 UTCI don't know what you're doing with Iseei and Shirou the truth. That conversation where Jaken tells him that he is no one without the BG, what does it mean? Shirou has not won a duel without a magical horse that he could magically counter the DD, Avalon conveniently every time he receives severe damage and the miraculous sent that he makes whenever he is seriously injured to cure himself with EM, in addition to the "mysterious" that give him a second air? I also really wonder what you're up to by giving Rin and Setsuna more solo dialogue with Ise in 2 chapters than with Shirou in +80. Even Setsuna who faced Shirou with a 20% Calibur and a sword with Belp, Kiba and also the demons with Ophis out of nowhere is surprised by Iseei who in his current state is weaker than his human self. Doesn't it make him the strongest human? I mean Shirou didn't do anything being just a "human", nor any of the hero faction. I doubt that Tobio will appear. To be honest, I think you confuse compatibility with domain. Kuroka also lost with a Rías who had been in the martial arts for less than a month when Kuroka already had experience not only against other demons for the RG but also against the entire Vali team (which canonically are not weak, although here you made them weak. We'll talk about that later), in addition to being able to damage the JGD with his power and react to the same dragon that tied the Pegasus in speed; Rias did not die when his skeleton should be turned to dust. Do you see how hilarious all this is? It's a shame for Setsuna, if someone liked Hanyo no Yashahime they would really be upset by the bad treatment that Setsuna receives. The first 20 chapters at least showed a proud woman willing to do anything, then she disappeared 60 chapters to throw a tantrum and suffer her first humiliation, then disappears to reappear in three dialogues in the RT of Rias vs Sona and reappears to give a dialogue like "war is terrible" nothing more and now not only loses as long as Iseei becomes someone again but loses in the style of the pervert. At what point does it go from being a princess to being happy being a punching bag and being satisfied with that? It's really unfortunate.

2024-09-25 20:41:31 +0000 UTCOne author that I follow recently switched from typing to "speech to text" just to be able to write(talk?) faster, the downsides I been seeing is a lot more typos. Don't know if you're interested in that, but if you want to keep your writing schedule and you can look into that.

2024-09-25 20:26:48 +0000 UTCAfter all the stuff that went down in the previous chapter is nice to see some of the characters trying to make the best out of the situations even if there is some internal issues. Issei has to deal with the aftermath of the Juggernaut drive but it seems like the spar with Setsuna was definitely a step in the right direction. And that's not forget about how he ended up getting her naked from her last attack. That whole last part was comedy gold if you asked me. As with Akeno you certainly chose a very unique way to mend things with her father even if we haven't seen them interact directly yet. But with Odin here and especially after that last part, it really seems like there may be more than we currently expect. Seekvara was someone that I genuinely forgot about for the longest time but it seems like her issues are something that had to be dealt with by Rias and it seems like she was successful even if just barely. I'll keep an eye on how their relationship develops. Will their friendship go back to where it was, or will it be better or worse. Either way it seems like Rias is playing this smartly when being friendly isn't working. I do wish you well in your recovery and I'm glad to see that things are going good so far even if the chapter output is going to be cut by half for the foreseeable future. That being said though, I think that this chapter is a good return to form to the more slice of life aspects which I feel like you do pretty well. I have always enjoyed how the characters play off each other and this was no exception. And doubly so once you add some new and some not so new faces to the mix. So all in all, this was a promising start to what I think is going to be the next arc
