Love this chapter a lot. I'm glad that we are getting more of the aftermath especially on how Ise will feel later on. It will be interesting to see how this will affect him forward in the story especially how he gets together with Asia and Irina and whoever will join his harem. I'm glad that this does bring up the effects of Ise's use of Juggernaut drive. In the anime, it has not been fully mentioned or at least explored but in here, I'm glad that we do get more context and development on it. Sirzech's approach to handling the Old Satan Faction is interesting. There is a good rift now between Rias and Sirzechs. It does make sense and it does show the latter having to really focus on the state of the Underworld rather than his family which he has to do given his role as the leader. The former understanding that aspect but can't fully accept it also makes sense. This will be interesting to see how Sona grows from this event too especially I think her fears would probably get worse due to Serafall's condition. I love the setup and interaction with Runeas. Her narration on the Four Maous and the back and forth to their revival is really good. It does set them up as kind off the new big threat to the story especially if Leviathan's connection to Tiamat is valid. Overall love the chapter and I hope you have a speedy and great recovery!

2024-09-02 01:10:09 +0000 UTCOh no I understand, I just mean with the precedent set—We know for a fact that Vali will align with the Underworlds interests at some point, and it’s assured that if Ingvild comes into play (is she coming into play? Unless this is spoilers in which case nvm). They both serve functions for the good guys and I’m mainly using hindsight on this. Sirzechs gonna have to stick by his words and I have doubs on him being able to make exceptions for them, because it would mean backpedaling on his declaration at the funeral. Doing so would be a political blowback since it’d be seen as indecision or potential favoritism. It mainly feels like he’s leaning too hard on targeting the whole clan rather than it’s current inheritors— Like Zekram said, mishandling assets (or an Asset, cause they for sure know about Vali, and knowing Sirzech he’d have caught wind of Vali being disloyal towards the Old Satan faction by now… I think?)

There are 2 Vali and Ingvild shaped issues currently preventing this act from being effective. Both play a major role in the OG, and I feel like you’re gonna bring at least one of them here. It’s curious, but also potentially harmful. Sirzech is acting out in an absolute manner, a declaration without taking into account the potential collateral from such a decree.

2024-09-01 18:44:48 +0000 UTCHope your arm feels better soon! Now for the chapter, starting with Ise’s decreased lifespan. Going from a devils standard to a shorter humans standard is a huge hit but it makes sense given how long he was in Juggernaut Drive for. Hopefully most of his lifespan can be recovered. Then there’s the matter of the Leviathan position. Personally I really hope that Serafall wakes up and can reclaim her spot, but I wonder how you’ll handle the tournament around it. After that Sirzechs speech was very tone setting and held a lot of weight for the nearby future of the underworld. Next was Shirous research into the original Leviathan. Quickly skimming books with structural grasping is efficient, but having a sword in UBW take on the curse from one is interesting. His meeting with Runeas Gremory was a surprise, I didn’t even know she was alive. Then the parallel scenes of him learning about the origin of the original maous as they woke up was an ominous scene. It felt like the beginning of the end, setting up a group of final villains. If that is the case it would be a fitting set of antagonists, if not then this arc will be awesome regardless and as always I look forward to the next chapter!

I’d rather you be in prime condition to keep the story going, rather than you pushing yourself to get the story out faster and doing more permanent damage! Great work as always!

Now I am wondering how the going one will be with the 4 original Satan's, that's what I'm calling them because it's easier. I like how everyone is moving and how we are finally getting into shirous details. Personally I still can't exactly confirm my angel for how goetia still figures into all of this but I am getting there, and I will eventually figure it out before you write it down. Love the chapter and genuinely can't wait for more but your health should always take priority. A piece of advice from me is if you can't write it down then just record it by audio and when your better then go back to the recording and slowly use that to write what you want, plus the audio recorders usually have good transcription ability. I hope you feel and get better soon for your own personal happiness. Can't wait to see you again. Ciao!
