Great fight chapter! Shirou going for Georg but being halted by Cu’s descendant was a good start with both sides surprising each other. Cu’s descendants shadow based sacred gear was a nice callback to his teacher, the queen of the land of shadows, while also allowing him to have something to distinguish his moves from Cu’s. Shirou using the light from his mana was a cool quick counter play to break up the shadows, and stepping on his swords mid air was a useful trick! Also a Cu vs Emiya type fight will always be fun to read! Issei duking it out with Heracles’s descendant went as expected, but Jeanne interrupting wasn’t something I saw coming, never mind how effectively she did so. Next Kirei managing so well against Heracles, and then later managing to nearly land attacks on Jeanne while dodging her balance breaker was crazy! That’s Kirei Kotomine for you. Then there was Xenovia against Gilgamesh, it makes sense that with her noble gear she was overwhelming him in CQC, and that when he started using GoB she was on the back foot, yet she still was doing really well, but that’s probably becuase Angelo can’t spam GoB nearly as much as the Gil we know. Then for the ending of the chapter, starting with Shirou deciding to pull one of his trump cards. I was sorta expecting UBW as I thought it would break dimension lost so when UBW was released they would be back in the real world, but I guess it’s unknown if it would work or not and Shirou logically wouldn’t risk so much mana on a gambit like that. Thus using Bellerophon via Bakuya was his best option, and man was it satisfying for him to finally land a hit on Georg while being able to make it to Kirei and Caren. And then finally, the long awaited retrieval of Kanshou! I didn’t expect it to come out this chapter but man that was a great scene! I cannot wait for the continuation of this fight! It’s been so awesome so far with cool reveals and exchanges! After this fight Shirou will probably look into methods to expand his mana supply like maybe jewels, for situations where he’s cut off from his connection to Rias. Speaking of which, if he gets out of dimension lost then his mana reserves should be expanded as the path between them should be reestablished, which would mean casting UBW still may be possible for this fight! Regardless, I can’t wait to see where you take this fight!

Being honest I still hope that some author takes other worlds like BNHA or Fairy Tail. Even some Souls. Unfortunately for some reason everyone gets caught up in DxD. But recently Shirou fics are in a tailspin and other characters are on the rise. We will see what happens in the future. Anyway, back to a question. Did you think about doing a second book? Frankly the word count is usually a little scary. Imagine me trying to convince a caveman not to abandon the fic in the first 20 chapters. Something like season two or F/BB II. What happens with Ayako? Someone think of the poor thing. She deserves her own route!!!!! Personally, I'm looking forward to playing FF:Rebirth but it will remain in my stash along with the latest Fate, the Elden Ring dlc and any other gems that come out. I'll lock myself in my man cave and enjoy them in the summer. Without leaving social commitments clear. Thanks for your time, App.

Easy to see how, Sephiroth knows he lost the first time around and is trying to change that fate. Fun.

2024-03-21 21:01:14 +0000 UTCThe status of Saint is actually debatle, if you go by the rules of the Church, real world Church, there is a process that could make it valid. What is happening here is that Jeanne is Joan's of Arc 'reincarnation' so she gets privilieges from her past life. About why Shirou there are several reasons including just liking him and wanting to see him play a proper part on DxD without being just teleported there, to explore how someone like him would be different in different circunstances or a world he could be a hero. Except, when I get to the planning stages I had to account how different would be his upbring in that world, not to mention his family, again reminding that Illya is the real older sibiling and other things. Also he is a protagonist extremely fun to write, not edgy but mature, not invincible but persistent, wise but also a fool. I like the guy and I proud of the work I managed to put in this version of him. Also about contradictory statments, remember who was saying it and why unless I made some sort of mistake. From my notes I think not because nothing overly contraditory to the whole narrative was said and I double checked everything several times already.

There were two or three statements that contradict other narrative statements above, but, really nothing that adds much. Otherwise it was perfect. Good chapter. The hero faction as always selling smoke. It's good to know that decent blacksmiths are slowly starting to appear. The status of Saint cannot be obtained by anyone and if you plan for Miguel to come out of nowhere sanctifying Argento, then you better think of another power up. I'm curious: Why write a fic about Shirou? Certainly several things come to mind, but, having a history prior to the current one. What was the reason? Any opinions on FF: Rebirth?
