oh thanks for answering

Today if everything goes well.

Ronaldo Souza

hello apprentice. when will you post the next chapter?

num

Amazing chapter! That last scene was done so well, framing Shirous position and conveying his anger! I can’t wait for the next one! Where Shirou can finally get back at Lakmia!

Archer

Well, yeah, but that is more a passive effect. Just by existing in Shirou soul Avalon stops the invasion. I meant more avalon direct powers, healing, protection, etc. Even researching Fae magic and runes. Also, i believe i know what the eyes are, as well as some ideas of how shirou would no longer carry avalon. Another thing is using the reality marble itself as a loophole to use Avalon. Even assuming he cant use avalon direct powers because he us no the master, he can still trace one. I believe he can do it, i am just not 100% certain its cannon. But if he can that also opens more possibilities, since that would open Fairy weapons as avenues( in fact, i think the same logic aplies to why Shirou can summon excalibur, even at the cost of his life, being Avalon long term presence whitin him)

It seems pretty obvious that one, Avalon is 'pushing down' whatever those eyes in Shirou's Soul are, and two, Avalon is an integral part of Shirou's Reality Marble, what with it's place as the Sun of all things. I recall that, in Illya's vision, it was Evening when Shirou was swallowed by something. Wouldn't it make sense for that to mean that Avalon, somehow, was taken out of him, leaving him susceptible to whatever that is? I could be wrong, but I feel like I'm pretty close.

James Green

Complete? How can Shirou become complete? Do you mean his Reality Marble? Or the missing half of Kanshou/Bakuya?

James Green

Can’t wait for the next chapter. Watching Lakmias world come crashing down will be epic

Avalon is doing work, don't worry. I won't go in details but know that thing is very important. It just isn't obvious how yet. Also yeah, Lakmia plan was bad but that was kinda the point, she was overconfident and if you pay attention to her previous aparences you will realize that she underestimates people a lot, just giving attention to those who interest her and not much else. She also is trusting too much on her impression of who Shirou should have accepted her offers and that proved to be another mistake. Greed is part of her theme and she is greedy for power. Also, I didn't want her to seem premiscous, on the file I wrote for her she only had 9 lovers over hundreds of years, but she likes watching powerful men. That is why everyone who works for her is basically a super bodybuilder, even if she doesn't sleep with them, she likes to watch.

Ronaldo Souza

Yeah, i get that he will never fall for that again, one of the great things in this fict is how Shirou has, you know, character growth. lol Also, i actually did not consider the power of Luck, and i agree it is a good enought reason for the plot to work. Though i still think it was a really Haphazard plot(not that you wrote, that lakmia did it). About Avalon, i agree. Nasu kinda used Avalon as Deus Ex Machina to solve situations that would otherwise have no solution. Like, "oh yeah, in this situation Avalon Works. But not in this, otherwise Shirou would Win." Like that. I don't know what are your plans for avalon, but it should be a good idea to research some myth and some Fate lore. But mostly decide, within your plot, how far you can take using Avalon. Then write around it. I, for one, like when Avalon is actually used, instead of, just a stage prop. Also, there is the research aspect to take in consideration. But those should be worked within your plot.

There are a couple of factors that made Lakmia's plot sucessful so far; first is her Power of Luck, second a ton of drugs. I mean a ton. It was more implied than anything else but she only got Shirou because he was in her house and was knocked out for a few hours. I was planning to write two or three at most but there was never a proper place to put the line. Regardless about Avalon its capabilities should have protected him... if Arturia was around. Honestly it is simple the most important and confusion artefect of all Fate Stay Night saga, I swear. What are its limitations with or without Arturia? I can only guess and that is why Shirou still have some vulnerabilities. Also because he isn't exacly complete just yet. Trust me, he is never falling for that again even if he is trying to trust the person.

Ronaldo Souza

Among other things, i am quite curious about the Runes teacher, something you have teased for a long while. I can offhand think many names that would conform to either Fate, DxD, or even Myths. My first thoughs where Shishou or Odin, but nodaways i am not certain. And that does not even consider you using another show character. The chapter was great, but i kinda dislike the whole drug and kidnaping, i mean, at this point in the story? Before the Callibur arc i could see in the story, but now, after defeating even Vali? I mean... I just see so many reasons this should not have worked. The first reason is a certain Sheath who really has way too little importance so far. I know messing with Avalon is daunting, but it should long have been expanded upon somewhat. Anyways, thanks for the chapter and i am looking foward for the things coming

Jair Marinho Cardoso da Silva Júnior

Since this last few chapters was about a lot of set up, the next one is going to be a lot of pay off so maybe you are going to like it a little more.

Ronaldo Souza

About Lakmia's plan there is no problem with it as she didn't know about how things would go wrong because of Shirou's capabilities and alliances. Besides the plan already involved not keeping him around for long and just using a excuse to have him for a few days to either get everything done or change his memories. And that can happen because, using one of your arguments, Bellerophon can't talk. It would take a while, even with Lakmia around for Shirou to understand the pegasus trying to warn about Lakmia but he wouldn't stay alone with her ever again.

Ronaldo Souza

Fair point but perhaps the pacing issue is more because this is a set up chapter and sometimes they are just like that. It was easy to spring things up by adding scenes of the others which gave the strory a better pacing but the problem with that is showing some of the surprises that are going to be revealed next arc.

Ronaldo Souza

1 thing to note is I’m pretty certain that Lakmias plan is falling apart the moment Shirou gets picked up by the others. Bellerophon probably isn’t getting his memories erased, they’re messing with Shirous mind but I doubt they’ll touch his soul. But this is rooted with a criticism I have that I’ve been meaning to bring up… I think the pacing has started to grind down recently. The chapter was still great and I can’t wait for the next one, but it feels like things have wound down in regards to the story. Putting emphasis on other characters and events, ESPECIALLY Akeno having some big character developments recently? I love it with all my heart. However miscellaneous scenes and spectacles, especially the current mini-arc with Lakmia and Marcoba? It feels like it takes time away from more interesting developments, such as expanding upon Rias’s training with Kiritsugu or potentially interactions which would explain further the necessity of the Devil Youth tournament. I’m not discounting the possibility that you have some plans for the outcome of this current chicanery involving Shirous kidnapping, but it just feel like the most recent arc has been stretched beyond what it should’ve ended by a few chapters ago. Besides pacing though, I loved this chapter and CANNOT wait for the next one.

Just Kab

Now im nettled. That Cliffhanger!!!

Caleb

Lakmia is so dead. Can't wait for the next chapter!
